I think it was mostly down to the weather.
For Q3 Alonso had only one set of fresh soft tyres, which the team and him decided to use in the last run.
So in the first lap he was on used tyres and when he put on fresh tyres it was raining. That was a bit bad luck, although he shouldn't have made that error on the first run.
Ferrari looked pretty much like Turkey... maybe the tracks have some similar set up features or was it all bout the weather?
