Red Bull passes new flexi-wing test

I'm not surprised; the fact that Adrian Newey was not at all phased by these new tests indicated that he was 100% confident the RB will would pass scrutiny! Hopefully we can now get back to racing instead of all the bullsh*t legality of parts that has plagued F1 this season!

Brawn's own words, it is the nature of F1... more testing/regulations in Monza, so the nature of F1 keeps being natural.

Red Bull not so far ahead of the rest in qualy today. Webber only .08 ahead of Hamilton, Vettel a quarter of second down on Hamilton with Button only .08 behind. The weather? Or did RBR modify their wings/underbody to pass the new test?

I doubt that anything was changed; I believe it's simply because Spa plays into the hands of the teams that have got their "F Duct" system working the best; e.g. McLaren!

Probably. Kubica was quick and he did say that Renault got their F-duct working, too.

Also because the Renault is not as powerful as the Merc engine. There's some HPs there missing for RBR in the climbs trough eau rouge and then to storm on sector 3.

I really didnt think RBR would have taken pole. Maybe it was more of a feat by Webber to manage the lap he got....

RBR/Newey apparently decided the next test -- the pre-Monza test -- was going to find them out so they went ahead and removed the flexi wing/floor before Spa.

I kept an eye on the wings all weekend. There was virtually NO movement especially compared to what there was in Hungary.

Martin Whitmarsh agrees with you but then he may have a vested interest...
