So, it appears someone has come up with something to beat the Bugatti Veyron's top speed record (those people being Shelby motors).

With around 1180bhp (depending on what you read) and a top speed of apparently up to 270mph+ if the gear ratios are correctly set up, it sounds pretty good doesn't it? Here are a couple of pictures for you:





Obviously the looks are subjective, i'm not sure about the front end but the back looks good. Being American it probably corners badly (j/k before anyone gets offended) but at least people are still going out and trying to push engineering boundaries.

Not a bad record to have is it? The looks are questionable, but alongside the Gumpert Apollo it's quite a looker! I wonder if it handles as well as the Bugatti - I suspect this could be its weakness?!
