Senna wasn't arrogant.
your confusing arrogance and confidence.
oh and
LOL
Mate, I almost wet myself at this comment. In what way do you think Senna confidence is different to Vettel's arrogance? Where's the line draw?
Suzuka 1989 and 1990 were both his fault. And he played the victim? This is arrogance because Sebastien does the same thing when things don't go his way, and you all say it's his arrogance.
In both 1989 and 1990 Senna was the driver behind, today you would label a driver and idiot if he attempted the same move. Yet Senna is a driver who I have utmost respect for.
Why you guys dismiss drivers just because of their personality beats me...
Hey - I'd be happy with "yeah, the guy's talented." Because that's a fact. Who dares to go against this true statement?
When you compare his pre-F1 stats to Hamilton, sure he is not as good. But the guy is fast. Faster than Hamilton in my opinion. The guy can overtake, obviously not as good as Hamilton but consider this stat: In 08 Monaco Vettel qualified 19th and finished 5th. In 09 Hamilton qualified 16th and finished 12th. Obviously a rash conclusion to make seeing as that McLaren was one dog of a car, but I like it.
EDIT - Damn it - I've busted my arse for the past hour watching Youtube videos a researching stat to prove how good Vettel is, and a who conversation has been posted in the mean time?
Where can you draw the line between confidence and arrogance?
when someone achives what he did.
So what you're saying here Gaz is that once Vettel wins 3 world championships (at the end of this year he could have secured 2, but might still have 0 at this rate...) then his arrogance will miraculously change to confidence?
Do tell....
Suzuka 1989 Was a racing incident 50/50 Senna recovered and should of won but the Bias Frencheman who ran FISA disqualifed Senna which was utterly stupid.
He gained no advantage from missing the chicane.
Suzka 1990 Was again because the FISA leader intervined. Senna asked for Pole to be changed from the dirty side of the track to the racing line. FISA intialy agreed but Balstre (head of FISA) intervined and it was left on the dirty side of the track.
You don't know the back story your comparing Turkey 2010 to Suzka 1989 Senna was attempting an overtake on a corner he didn't just drive into his prost on the straight like vettle.
You say Senna was the driver behind, no in 1990 he had pole.
Senna's pre-f1 career was so far removed from Hamiltons its pointless to compare.
Hamilton dominated his Pre-F1 career because he had finiancal backing from Mclaren. Hamilton would of made it to F1 without Mclaren but he got there alot Quicker and into a top team alot faster because of it.
You compared Monaco 2008 which Hamilton Won from running 5th at one point and he would of won by nearly 1min but for the safty car. Monaco 2009 was Dry so there was less pitting and no refuling you can't compare.
Vettle is a good fast lap driver, not a racing driver who can not admit when he was wrong.
So what you're saying here Gaz is that once Vettel wins 3 world championships (at the end of this year he could have secured 2, but might still have 0 at this rate...) then his arrogance will miraculously change to confidence?
Do tell....
He could of secured two? sorry have i missed somthing is Brawn GP going to get banned and Vettle handed a championship?
Hes not won any yet, nor has he won any races from anything but Pole.
Vettle is arrogant because he drives his team mate of the track then acts like a total muppet.
