For some reason i prefer the engine's sound at decel. Its more of a growl.
But then, anything done at such high speeds is awesome.

I'm with you there, nothing like a 4 gear downshift scrubbing 180 Kph into a turn.

August seems like the longest month of the year.

I must be having withdrawal symptoms because I constantly keep listening to Fleetwood Mac (The Chain).

I think a McLaren will win, although Red Bull will be quicker in quali as per usual. The McLaren is way more raceable with that straight line speed advantage and it's easy to defend the section where Red Bull will (in theory) dominate. That is assuming there is no drama such as rain...

I hope to see the flexi front wing give Red Bull a decent advantage.

All we need after that is a Renualt to come in 3 or a Merc GP.

This track should suit our car.

redbull were just insanely strong through sector 2 last year and i doubt thats gona change this year, and thats where the time on a lap is obv really won or lost. but who can call it really, as you say race pace is compleatly different to qualy.

BUT LESS THAN A WEEK ! oh my gosh

At every circuit thus far, RBR have addressed the 2009 car's problems and made it generally stronger everywhere. Newey has the uncanny ability to sus out the cause of any shortcoming and target a fix specifically to it. Considering their performance at Spa last year, this could be another "WTF?" weekend for the other teams.

unless the big teams pulled out all the stops over the break, i think this "much closer race" isnt gona happen, mclaren may be fast through sector 1 and maybe average to redbull in sector 3 they wont just cant match them in 2 .

I still think the Red Bulls will have the overall advantage, McLaren and Ferrari will be more competitive in Belgium but I don't believe they would have made any significant jumps in performance given the enforced break period, maybe if the teams had those four weeks to develop new parts I could believe they *may* catch Red Bull but that being said Red Bull are always making little improvements to their aero package to keep them ahead of the chasing pack!

I agree, I think RBR will still have their lead.
Hopefully the gap will be much smaller than in Hungary, though.
