(AP) NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of Tesla Motors Inc. gained more than 40 percent in their public trading debut on Tuesday after the electric car manufacturer raised more money than expected in its initial stock offering.

$226M in the initial IPO is small change but the growth potential could very well turn that into billions. I'm so jonesing to get back into the market and explore new ventures. Tesla has virtually been the only full manufacturer in this market and imho they will be taken over by one of the big three. Devalued I know compared to the initial investment but a 3/1 or 4/1 stock split would not be so bad. :drink:

the car itself is utterly pointless though.

it won't be companies like telsa selling the electric cars it will be the main maunfactors

VW and Ferrari have already looked into Hybrid and Kers Cars.

with the japanse brands already well established.
