This might be a strange question but here goes,

How does a rich individual buy a F1 car?

My first thought was auctions, maybe inside connections to a paddock.

I know they will give them away to companys as a good gesture (audi).

Yes i checked the for sale section of the forum, Lol

Thanks guys, thats is interesting.

I noticed most come with out engines wich is understandable (it could provide some good engine conversions)

I saw Schumys "first" F1 car, do you think if it gets destroyed he looses his powers (like a vampire or werewolf)?

Well yer he seems to lost a lot of his power by coming back to F1, I'll leave that for another thread. A lot of the f1 cars I've seen have judd 3.5 v8s which don't seem to be original but I imagine are to keep the price low to get some profit.

Oh and welcome to the forums by the way :)

Interesting post. So you're leaning in on an old Schumacher car to buy it and destroy it, hoping Schumacher loses his 'powers'....Schumi hater eh? :hehe:

Schumi's lost his powers already, they are called "Ferrari + Undisputed No.1 status"

Everyone's so extreme on these forums. I don't hate anyone, even if I think I want to. I respect Schumacher's talent in everyway, I just don't like how he handles the controversy and is ruthless eg. his ott defensive move on Barrichello at Hungary. I think next season with supposedly a more efficient and quicker car he might be able to get onto the podium again.

Haha, that car on the first link was $790,000, so i dont think so.

I was disappionted by his result lately but it is good to see him back in the sport.

However, the fact that you don't hate him doesn't mean you wish him well.

This isn't even relevant to the thread.

Indeed! These posts have nothing to do with the OP! Back to F1 car buying advice please!

It's obvious... rich individuals get their hired help to buy the F1 car on their behalf.

The site not only sells race cars but also race days. You give a certain amount of to the team and they will supply with the pit crew and a certain amount of tyres and then you can be a racing driver!! There are a few drawbacks though, they are pretty damn expensive and you need a specific license.
