I think the general, if not unanimous, forum opinion regarding the FIA is well documented. Do I think they are trying to manipulate the media? Why not? They try to manipulate everything else. I'm sure if Max had his way, he'd manipulate himself into the White House... which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, given it's current or likely future occupant.

The FIA are not impartial. Many members(Max in particular) are well past their sell by date and need ousting.

Some people on this forum seem to think that all this anti-FIA feeling has spawned from bitter McLaren supporters over the spy scandal. However, that's simply not true and only represents things coming to a head. Even without the events of 2007 I would be calling for changes at the FIA, in fact, I've been doing so for many, many years. FISA was open to manipulation. The FIA is no better. More accountability is needed, and the WMSC needs reformed to name but a few things needing done.

2007 has just highlighted the corruption in a far more public way. As Bernie said "we're getting inches aren't we". Every one of those Fleet Street inches was further damning evidence that Max and Bernie need to leave, along with 50% on the WMSC.

Paul Stoddart for Bernie's job. Tom Walkinshaw for Max's job. Or vice versa, I'm easy.

I read in this weeks Time Magazine that the Mafia is the no.1 profitable business in Italy second to the National Power Company there. I don’t have the mag with me right now to quote, but it makes you think. Corruption in soaked deep into mechanisms of the Italian judiciary, political and sporting institutions.

We should not be surprised with anything that stinks coming from Marenello.

Says the man who lives in the state that in 2000 was fraught with voter fraud and totally corrupt in the way it handled it so that the Supreme Court had to jump in and hand the presidency to a totally corrupt corporate oil puppet with a pea-sized brain.

DD says a lot on the forums, however, a lot of the interesting and valid points don't receive a comment from him. I wonder why. :) I suppose it's easier to say nothing or bring in something else. :D
