Oh yes...and Alonso won his Championships with a teammate who's now a test driver, at least Heikki is still a race driver. I have to hand it to you though, nice angle to come from to try and belittle Lewis' achievements...

Your remark about Fisi being now a test driver and Heikki a driver makes no sense at all.

Fact#1 - Youngest WDC in history: more than fact... its actually trivia. Sure, its cool to mention... but when you jump into the best car in your rookie yr... lots of fun trivia can happen
Fact#2 - See the episode in Hungary and who broke the agreement that lead to the problem. How many pts it cost? See when Ron says they were racing Alonso... very nice fact you got there. Doesnt make much to a case.

totally agree!, Lewis puts fernando alonso to shame!!, come on lewis go and wip fernando's backside with your mclaren till he cant take it no more and then has naother sulk!

Really? put to shame? or was it the other way around? From how I have seen... Lewis' credits ALL start with "beating" Alonso... So, according to all of you, his biggest credit is related to Alonso.
When you can judge Lewis on his own achievements, you can talk about him being the best of the field

Him being put in a race winning car at the start of his career unfortunately tends to get his fans over estimating him compared to other drivers. I firmly believe that Lewis would not have so many screeching pig headed fanboys/girls if he had started in a Minardi or something.

This is a Ferrari radio gate thread, how do you guys get into a Lewis argument?

Lewis got put into a top team in a top car at the start of his career because people had ear marked his talent long before that. Good drivers today get groomed from the age of 10. He The people that chose to put him in that situation could have probably chosen any other driver they wanted to put in his place. Being chosen by a team is not the issue, because it happens to any driver that isn't a pay driver. His good fortune started long before he got into that F1 car.

I was a screeching fan girl before he even reached F1!!! It was clear then he was something special.He shown he can drag a poor car up he grid as well. His McLaren has by no means always been class of the field. In fact sometimes far from it..
