Hamilturula1.net anybody? Hamilton manages to make it into just about everything thread somehow... the omnipotent one is among us!

So does Alonso's whining, favours, waiving... you name it.
And/or Schumacher...

Lewis is always brought up because if you look closely, everytime anyone says anything either good, bad or inbetween about him there's a full blown argument.

Whereas most of the other drivers, people make their opinions and whoever is a fan, they keep more or less quiet, even if they dont like or agree with such opinion.

Since i am very new in Formula1 i wonder why lots of people hate Alonso.He doesnt whine like a kid or didnt do anything rude.Maybe i didnt recognize but i think after the races hes not rude.

He's never rude after the races, was only super upsaet and angry after the Valencia episode. And rarely points the blame at either the team or the car. To me Alonso is full 100% serious and into his racing. He doesnt look interested in showing off his g/f, showing off his designer sunglasses or talking much about himself...
whenever he's asked about a RACING situation he would give a real, more or less technical view and not necessarily a vague answer (and if you look even closer, he'll rarely say he's great or the best, unlike... others). Whenever he's asked about media and silly things... he either sends a question back to asker or simply says what he thinks without much adornment or enthusiasm. Some people will call him a prick because of that...

In any case... lots of people dislike Alonso for the same reasons lots of people dislike Hamilton. Its become pretty much a matter of nationality of all things

Racechick gave you a list of bad stuff from Alonso, just like there's a whole thread about Vettel being whatever... i'm sure anybody could give you an equally long list about others, including you-know-who but most simply dont bother.

Nationality has nothing to do with my like or dislike of drivers , though I can't speak for everyone. Believe it or not I liked Alonso in the early days, had Alonso gear, check out the top Im wearing in my avatar. I gave it away after Hungary 2007 and things have detariorated from then on.

Also, I'm not saying nationality is the issue with you inparticular. But in general, Even they've said in press conferences, seem to be opinions change depending on the country....

The Hungary episode was very bad, but we dont really know what happened, and according to something i read, it was Lewis who was breaking a deal they had already set. And Alonso was angry also because he got worn tires or something and Lewis not listening to Ron Dennis and the team plan. But how Alonso nailed that pole was awsome! on worn tires

Alonso can certainly be a whiner when things don't go his way. As can most of the grid. Hamilton has done it twice on the radio this year as has Alonso. Vettel is trying to set a new record for cockpit complaining. Kubica has had his moments as have many others.

The thing about RC's list of reasons she hates Alonso is that the list has her own personal slant. Nothing wrong with that...it's her list. Yes, Alonso blocked Hamilton in the pitlane...after Hamilton broke team orders and blocked Alonso getting out of the pitlane first. Hamilton was told point blank to let Alonso out first, something they were taking turns at..the previous time was Hamilton's turn out first, which Alonso did not block, but Hamilton felt it important to be the first out for that race...so he cut Alonso off..which made Alonso mad. Can't say I blame him. Hamilton caused that fight, not Alonso. Much of the rest of that list goes along the same line. Alonso was involved so, in RC's mind he must be to blame...even if he isn't. Hamilton was also involved, but he clearly isn't to blame because...well...he's the driver that RC loves most in the world. Her list...so her rules. Nothing wrong with that...but the bias is there and has to be considered.

In the end, it's easy to type out a reason why you dislike a driver. If you boil it all down, it's usually because he beat the driver you like or he made him look bad or simply that he dislikes the driver you love. We all bring our own biases wherever we go and they are impossible for someone on the internet to break down.

^^ Exactly. I knew all that and read it a long time ago. As i'm sure lots of people know it also.The difference being, many of the Alonso fans wont go around showing reports and articles and stuff to the haters... you want to think it was Alonso's fault: go ahead.

Just like the little poison comments Lewis made on the Monaco GP and many others. He's much more interested in having a media war and a media identity, than Alonso is... if you take away the Valencia race, there's been hardly any complaining from Alonso.

Even in the press conference after the 1st race, Alonso just said it was very difficult to be stuck behind your teammate even while you're lapping quicker. And said nothing more of it. Everything else has been simply implied or assumed.

I know there's another side to the Hungary story but the escalation by Alonso was shoking. he wouldnt have got the pole if Lewis had had a run, thats why he blocked.

Yeah,thats why i was confused.He seems to be a nice guy but when i read the list racechick typed,i understood more about his characteristic.He also has inconsistency with his behaviors.And Vettel has lots of things a racer would want(fans especially the ones who want to marry him,very good looking,a team which choose him as their number 1 pilot,success and many more things)

But just so you know... You dont know those things now either. Those are Racechick's interpretation of things. You can go by them if you feel... but that doesnt mean its what really happened. There is/may be a counter explanation to EACH and EVERY point in the post there... but why bother.
