Thats one race,everyone was that far off an amazing Red Bull car,do you think all teams should sack their boss if they don't beat the Red Bull next race then ?

well Ferrari seems to be in the contest during races, while McLaren is not. Hungary was Red Bulls' circuit but otherwise Ferrari will be on their tail, let's hope McLaren will do the same in the future

Red bull and ferrari have the flexi wing. Without that Mclaren woul;d be in contention.

well then McLaren should get flexi wing also, it's incredibly hard but that's what you have to do to be on top, you have to push it to the limits.

Well they will now its been declared legal. Its against the spirit of the regs but if its allowed mclaren will get it.

Right now it's not a question of legal or illegal as I understood, McLaren said they're puzzled by the wing and don't really have an idea how it might work

maclaren said they where confused as to how it works but yet they have used flexi wings before before the regulations came in to play. I think maclaren put all their hopes on the blown diffuser and thought it would add so much more performance than it did. I gotta say though i think Lewis is a far superior driver to jenson, he always seems to have that bit extra, and what i thought was quite interesting was after quali jenson saw that lewis was 5th and said 'where did he find all that time from'. I just think jenson doesnt seem to be able to drive around problems as well as others.

I'm a jenson fan but I agree that Lewis is the better driver...Jenson does good when his car suits him...Lewis on the other hand has the ability to work around issues with his car.....Jenson is the better strategist while Lewis is the better racer....

And Mark is probably one of the most likeable blokes in the entire F1 paddock.

That's rubbish - the RBR's performance advantage is both greater in absolute terms and more sustained than Braun's was last year.

I agree with that, this years Red Bull is an absolute monster of a car, and "relativity" better than last years Brawn. It's just the Red Bulls need to do a better job tactically and with reliability.

Also remember Jens had a pretty decent team mate last year, yet he still pulled out the results, especially in the first half of the season.

As for Mark Webber winning the WDC, thats cool with me. He deserves it, and I would rather it be him than Vettel. And if neither win it then it's the biggest Fail in history with the car they have got!!!!

I think you're both blinded by Redbulls qualifying pace and the very recent Hungarian race.

The Brawns last year were DOMINATING every race for the first half of the season just like how Redbull dominated the Hungarian weekend. Please take a minute and look at the races this season, Redbull were definitely challenged and beatable by McLaren. McLaren were a strong match in terms of race pace for most of the races, although no match in qualifying. Last years Brawn was not like that, they were dominating the race weekends in the 1st half of 2009 until Redbull and McLaren caught up at the second half.

I don't think that the Flexi-wing provides as much as what people are making it out to. Yeah it's an advantage, but all aerodynamic work that I've conducted through school (although at speeds of 80kp/h) provided me with data that is only worth a tiny fraction.

IMHO, Red Bull without this wing would still be the fastest car out on track.

It does pain me to say this though as a RB supporter, but I don't think that they have what it takes to win the titles this year...
More experience fighting at the front and they will be a constant force in Formula 1.

A month or two ago, there was a thread asking whether McLaren's recent victories meant that this was the start of a new Golden Age for McLaren. I suggested that it was perhaps too soon to come to such a conclusion. For this (I think) reasonable and (I think) vindicated comment, I was roll-eyesed and criticized.

Everybody is protective of 'their' teams though.
Mclaren supporters seem to be a little more protective of the team and their drivers though...
