I think spa and Monza will be crucial, if Redbull are able to take the big points there the title challenge against them will look bleak.

Is it the blown diffuser thats supposed to be tricky to thats giving McLaren problems?

The 2 McLaren drivers have already won the championship so has Alonso, Webber winning the championship would mean so much to this country

Webber's got to match his teammate first. Vettel isn't going to roll over after this, and neither is Lewis and Alonso. Spa and Monza are going to be 2 mega races which could determine the final swing in the Championship. Webber's a good guy and I was glad he won the race today out of the top 3 drivers but he doesn't have that killer edge I see in the other two. Vettel for his speed, Alonso for his tenacity.

Yeah I totally agree with you, but he's Australian, he has guts, pride and grit. We aren't always the best at what we do, but we fight awfully hard, it should be an awesome fight to the flag this year, this points system is definitely something they've got right. Could get another 2007-2008 repeat. should be epic.

Lewis is has been punching above his weight all season i reckon. They clearly don't have the fastest car But he should be commended for his efforts. The budapest failure is one incident. Everybody else has has had there fair share of disasters. So there isn't any need to panic just yet on mclarens behalf. I would expect mclaren to be looking forward to the next two races because spa and monza surely play in to their hands in terms of setup with their sensational top speed. The one thing they are clearly worried about is this flexible front wing situation. Their front wing is stiff as a board compared to red bull and they don't seem to have an answer for it.
As for the championship contenders, who knows!!! At the start of the season i would have said that webber was a longshot compared to vettel. But we're 2 thirds in and webbers in the lead so his odds would definitely be shortening. But they are all there or there abouts and thats what we want to see.

What a fantastic day in Formula One. A race that had me cheering at several points. Rubins goes by Michael for the last point. Webber beats Vettel, Vettel cries about it, Alonso holds off Vettel and last but certainly not least....McLaren loses both championships! Oh, what a day.

Did you notice that Vettle couldn't get past Alonso today with clearly the faster car? Wonder what made Ferrari think that Vettle was going to get past Alonso in Germany and had them issue the infamous order. :drink:

Because it was a different day on a different track? Hamilton broke down today, does that mean he will on the next race as well? Can we assume that Button will always finish higher than Hamilton but still barely in the points? Every race and certainly every track is different.

The car is way off the pace. Whitmarsh earn your salary and get the development/upgrades sorted or move over for someone who can do the job. Ferrari have wrong footed you as did Red Bull. If you want to be in contention get it sorted

Thats one race, everyone was that far off an amazing Red Bull car,do you think all teams should sack their boss if they don't beat the Red Bull next race then ?

well Ferrari seems to be in the contest during races, while McLaren is not. Hungary was Red Bulls' circuit but otherwise Ferrari will be on their tail, let's hope McLaren will do the same in the future

My comment was ment more of his overeaction to sacking Martin Whitmarsh if Mclaren don't win the title. You can't have a winning car all the time,as we all know.

Red bull and ferrari have the flexi wing. Without that Mclaren woul;d be in contention.

well then McLaren should get flexi wing also, it's incredibly hard but that's what you have to do to be on top, you have to push it to the limits.
