Wasn't massa going faster than Alonso at the end?

Don't know but is there a point? He was just going around the track like he was eating an icecream at he same time in the car.

I dont think Alonso overtook anyone.

Trust me, you won't find someone who dislikes Alonso more than me, but Alonso did a fine job today. He pushed to his max, and did well to withstand lots of pressure for 40 laps like it was nothing. When I saw Vettel coming up behind Alonso I knew there is no chance in hell he's getting past, Alonsos just too good a driver. Even though he's a d**khead in my view.

He's ok. makes lots of mistakes though. I dont think he did anything special today. I was longing for Vettel to try to get past and CRASH! But wasnt to be.

When the two drivers ahead of Alonso for the entire race were redbulls can you blame him?

I don't think anyone passed him on track either.

Vettle couldn't get past Alonso today with clearly the faster car.

Wonder what made Ferrari think that Vettle was going to get past Alonso in Germany and had them issue the now infamous subtle message/order.

Bernie showed clear support for the rights of teams to order their drivers around in Brundel's grid walk today,

Also the general consensus among the bbc staff was that Ferrari wouldn't get further punishment, I wonder what they know that we don't.

It feels cooler in here already... it's as if someone opened up a window and in came a cool breeze. Thank you forum moderators/therapists.

They got to you man, you sell out.

You used to be cool. Proper cool that is, not what your calling cool now.

 you say sell out, I say lobotomized. Like McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Always had that nagging hunch...

I really wish Massa had gotten infront during Vettel's drive thru.

Not because i wanted Vettel to lose more points but to prove even Massa could have held Vettel at bay.

He did that at Hockenheim.

True but RBR didn't have a car which was 1-2 seconds per lap faster at that time.

Same 'unable-to-overtake' driver, though. Vettel can only win from the front or crash into the car he's trying to pass.

Webber couldnt overtake him either.

The order was not for Vettel. That's simply an excuse (of course it was a possibility since with a Massa/Alonso rumble he could have chased in); but the call was for the man with the highest posibilities to get the extra 7 pts.

i dont think there's been a 1.5 sec gap in an F1 race for a loooooong time. Not only that, but in Hockenheim he lost by 0.002, while Massa (who had the pace to win the race?) was like 0.5 sec off. Seriously speaking, what he did was monumental (specially given the wdc standings). Had it not been for Webber giving probably his best ever race... he almost won. He was genuinely fighting for the win; he almost beat 2 cars who were 1.2 secs faster!

True. Maybe it's the RB which is unable to overtake?
