I can see Webber getting ahead in the first corner, Vettel will no doubt try to push Webber into the wall and fall back allowing, Alonso, Massa and Hamilton through. I can also see Jenson getting a good start making it upto 8th from 11th. I'm also hoping that Kobayashi makes into the top 10, got to like his attitude, got blocked in qualifying which cost him and his reaction "It's racing, traffic happens". As much as I hate to admit it; Jenson is looking like he will be supporting Lewis because he can't do it in qualifying, Button 11th versus Hamilton 5th, unless McLaren can make a car more to Jenson's liking, Lewis will end of inching away in the battle of the Britons.

Jens could make up at the beginning and maybe do something clever with tyre strategy, he could easily score good points. He's not out of it yet, it only needs a DNF from Lewis and he's up there. But that said lewis does look the stronger. I still think its an excellent pairing and one that has the other teams envious and McLaren should stick with this.

The only thing that Jenson needs to be really 100% up to par with Lewis is for him to be able to wring our performance out of an under-performing car. Lewis is ace at that, and by the way, so is Alonso. But Jenson's driving is affected a lot when the car is kind of a dog.

Other than that, man, Jenson's driving is finger-lickin' smooth. :D

Kobayashi's chances of making the top 10 look slim now. He's been dropped to 23rd for a weighing infraction. Should be fun watching him dice with the Virgins, Lotuses and HRTs, though. New front wing, anyone?

The car is not a dog. It handles very well, it's just that it has not enough down-force :crying:

Best thing Mclaren can hope for is Webber to cause a chain crash involving Vettel and ALonso and for Button to sneak his way up into the points.

Oh, I know, it's actually pretty good. I was speaking more of in general terms.

Isn't it the down-force that makes a f1 car easier to drive?

In some ways, it helps with tyre treatment a lot for example.

 It may be a 3 kobayashi wing day for Sauber tomorrow. I have him in my fantasy game so I hope he comes up a bunch of spot without incident, but yeah I'm going to be looking at the back of the grid as much as at the front of it during tomorrow's start. The car is capable for sure since it was great to see Sauber in Q3!

Worst case scenario is Kobi ducks in for his first wing, comes out amongst the leaders and proceeds to lay waste to Red Bulls, Ferraris and McLarens at random.

Sorry - that should be 'McLaren', singular. Jenson will be cruising around mid-field, thinking about his strategy.

Or maybe that's 'best case'. It would certainly make the race more interesting. (Joke)

Talking of Kobayashi, any BBC viewers see that interview after Q1? I thought that was brilliant. Guy is a legend!

I'm using my heaviest American accent here... NO.

But man I'd love to.

if anything i would expect more trouble in turn one from massa vs alonso ( not just because of last weeks stuff ) but maybe a ferrari running wide allowing lewis just to sneak through provided he gets off the line.

after everything thats happened i would expect horner to be hammering it into vettle's head just to drive straight into the corner and not defend to much.

just to be frustrating, is pole on or off the racing line ? as the track will be very green tomorrrow.

Using my best Canadian accent, eh, "No". We get the BBC feed on TSN but only the qualifying, no EJ romps or driver interviews.

Vettle has a pretty damn poor record of capitalizing on his poles... I've been right and I've been wrong predicting how he'd screw things up but tomorrow looks to be a race for the third step on the podium if we're lucky enough to get that. I wouldn't be surprised if we see 6 or 7 cars on the lead lap at the checkered flag.

What we are sure to see is a lot of floppy front wings in Spa next month!
