Well, it's going to be a short and scandal filled week before the next Practice session begins.

Hungary looks to be more of the same as Germany though with the Ferraris and Red Bulls fighting it for pole and McLaren doing their opportunistic best to hang on till the high speed circuits of Spa and Monza.

MaLaren better get their diffuser in order or begin cloud seeding for rain right away.

Alonso pole, Alonso win. But hopefully no team orders this time!

Watch out for Robert Kubica as well, he should be able to translate that Monaco pace he had... Mercedes should be faster here too.

I think Ferrari would be strong here.

But I want to see what Massa's pace will be, before the team orders I was going to praise Setfano for whatever he said to both drivers after Sliverstone, Massa was preforming with confidence.

Mclaren probably wont have any testing, im guessing its straight to the Hungaroring.

Im guessing its the same this week, next week.

Probably not, the teams will arrive late wednesday to early thursday straight from hockenheim. So I doubt there will be much time for testing for any teams.

Redbull should be strong here but like Scotty said Ferrari were strong in Monaco so with their current pace should also be strong perhaps stronger than the Bulls. McLaren will have to play the salvage game again though rain is predicted so that might help them.

No team orders from which team?

I would have a punt on Jenson doing well; maybe not a win but a decent podium, maybe a win if it rains, if you remember he claimed his first victory here in a BAR Honda. But realistically, Ferrari have the dominant race pace right now; I would like to see Massa win but if it's line astern I doubt that Ferrari will allow Massa to win. Fernando has obviously got preferential treatment in his contract. I don't believe he is as good a driver as he's made out to be; in the words of the great Murray Walker "catching is one thing, overtaking is another" - show us some of that supposed brilliance Fernando and pass your team mate fair and square [/end of rant].

Fair enough. But what if that teammate pulls a Vettel, or a Kubica move for that matter and refuses to give way when the place is clearly lost? What if that results in a Red Bull like incident that takes the team out of contention for the championship. Would they not look as stupid as Red Bull did for allowing such a mishap? If the driver is likely to not play fair with his team mate...should the team allow them to go wheel to wheel? If Smedley and company KNEW that Massa would fight tooth and nail....aren't they pretty much required, in their own interest, to not allow it? Like McLaren did with Button and Hammy earlier this season?

Of course they are. If it were your money that would go up in flames when the two cars touched....come on, wouldn't you do the same? I certainly would. As would any other team on the grid..which has been shown over and over again.
