I caught 1 person breaking that law (a druggy)
I caught 1000 people breaking the law (speeding)

The main problem is that there are not enough police officers to go around and watch for someones TV getting stolen. The most recent survey that I could find is from 2006 and it put the total number at 800K and that includes federal law enforcement aswell and the feds do not patrol the streets like your average cop.

Yeah Stats are BS they need to concentrate on serious crime.

Is speeding not a serious crime, you do know that it can kill you right??
Honestly this kind attitude is nothing more than just ignorance. If you honestly believe that stats are BS and we peace officers should focus on serious crimes tell me how less than 1M police can effectively impact serious crime in a country with a population of 308+M people? We are always open to suggestions .
