There are so many people on this forum all saying how sad they felt for poor innocent Massa!
Two points for you to contemplate:
1) Massa is a Cheat. What he did was similar to throwing a game. He purposfully slowed down to let someone else win.

2) If like other drivers in F1 signed with a team NOT to be a number two driver then he should have told them to shuv it! Can you imagine Webber or Hamilton saying "ok i will let Vettel/Button win this race?" erm frankly NO!

So why feel sorry for him? he had two choices take the easy option and cheat (by letting Alonso win) or stand up for himself and show everyone who's the best driver... we all know what happened from there.

To disobey would be to risk losing his drive. The only other possible open seat with a team that has the chance of challenging for podiums is Renault, and Petrov is picking up his game... Tough position to be in.

What were Massa options? he could ignore team radio and gone on to win the race but can you imagine what Alonso would have been like after it would have been McLaren 2007 all over again, Alonso would have had a fit after the race and the team could have gone into melt down.
Or he could let him through to win the race and have all this controversy, and put his team in trouble possibly losing all the points anyway at the FIA hearing.
There is one thing that i do question in all this, I was always under the impression that Massa was liked at Ferrari didn’t Ferrari say they owe Massa after the accident? And I always thought the management at Ferrari liked Massa I would have thought they would allow him free reign to fight with Alonso like he did with Kimi, At least until he was out of the running.

Hamilton is a superb fighter given the cars are slightly more equal.
