I doubt they will get nothing from the WMSC as the stewards did find Ferrari guilty. No team has been punished for team orders since the rules inception so perhaps a precedent has needed to be set something the stewards of the race meeting felt required a higher governance.

i only hope justice is done and they get dq from the race as this will make sure that future races are fair for everyone and that championships arnt decided by cheating and if you cheat you know the concequences.......cheating=DQ

Just proves what a joke the FIA is
McLaren get fined 100 million and get disqualified from the constructors championship for appaerntly having Ferrari files on guess who's laptop yep Alonso's

Hamilton gets fined and worse when he lied in Australia in 2009

The Ferrari Team blatantly breaks a rule and everyone can see it and the whole team owners, drivers and all the drivers lie and all they get it a 100k fine
What a joke

I agree totally, Fining ferrari is tantamount to the FIA admitting that Ferrari broke the rules, there's no greys here, it's black and white, if their guilty punish them. Don't tickle their bank account with something thats akin to their Lunch budget for the weekend.
Remember when they fined McLaren 100 mil, that was for just having the Ferrari data, No proof of use AND more importantly, ALL their points being taken off them for the season, How much is that in prize money, how many millions did they loose because of that, Another 100 mil??, more??.

I really am getting fed up with the way Ferrari get away with this sort of thing, $100,000 fine is a joke and shows pure favouritism, if it was McLaren they would have been deducted points and as far as I am concerned that should be the main punishment!
#208509
Any further punishment doesnt seem likely seeing that Jean Todt is now the president of the FIA. Always wondered when that conflict of interest would be called into question.

Also I would like to say that As they have somewhat found them guilty then that is basically saying the drivers and the owners were lying so where are their fines as well

Another point worth considering.
Personal I think they should face legal action in the courts the sameway the footballers did when they got caught match fixing.
What about the people that placed bets on the race for Masser to win
And also how much are the bookies out of pocket by paying out people who bet on Alonso?
If there guilty surely the race results should be amended taking in to account any penalty
Personally I think absouloute minmum they should lose there points for today .
An face A less laughable fine.

Prosecute them for fixing the result ...................................................

That is a very very good point, Hadn't thought of that. Your right, very right.

I have a friend who had money on Massa today, and he was furious, but i think that betting is a risk you take so have limited sympathy. people wouldnt moan if the team mucked up a pit stop, or he span off.
but, i think that this incident is so much worse because:
1. it directly affected the outcome of a race
2. it was done by a team renowned for doing it, with and arrogance that they would get away with it
3. Massa's race engineer was put in an impossible position
4. massa is still in title contention at the time, and was leading the race on merit
5. the order came to appease alonso who spends more time whining than a 2 year old!

its for them 5 reasons IMO that this has caused so much outrage!

and:
6. Ferrari International Assistance seems to be back in force!

Have to agree with the earlier post,if ferrari are guilty then all the people (at ferrari)that came out and spoke about it are also guilty.Of lying and should be fined at least.Any one else would of got fined for lying to the stewards.Correction HAVE been fined for doing so.

David Coultard said on the F1 forum, that viewers should accept that team orders still are part of f1 racing. he should be reminded that its the viewers and fans that keep the sport going and we want to see proper racing like between Vettel and Webber, and Hamilton and Button.
WE do not want to see the likes of Ferrari or any other team cheat.
