Disgraceful!! I cant believe that the FIA cant see such a blatent team order...and not just the fact that alonso has most probly moaned to his team because he couldnt get passed himself but the fact that they lie through there teeth about it afterwards, they broke the rules and should be punished!! Masa said it all in the press conference after... all you had to do was look at his face!! Dont treat the fans as if were all thick..we can see it so why cant the FIA!! Oh and with regards to david coulthards comments that ferrari work as a team and they spend hundreds of millions...i must say they also make hundreds of millions unlike the true fans who can spend 1 weeks wages on a ticket to silverstone...doesnt he realise that theres fans in the stands not just the millionares on the pit lane!! There wouldnt be a F1 gp without the fans and we expect racing not team orders!!!! from a very angry fan of F1!!!

You need to be able to prove Ferrari broke the rules, its obvious Massa let Alonso through but if he and the team stick to the story that Massa made the decision himself, and wasn't ordered to by the team I don't think then that in itself isn't illegal and I don't think the fia will be able to prove it was team orders.

Exactly I don't think they can do anything either. They were given far too much time after the race to get their story straight before being summonsed to the stewards.

Probably, but its probably in most drivers contract that if their team mate is clearly ahead in the championship the team will back them. The mentality Ferrari displayed as the same as Red-bulls when they gave Vettel Webber's front wing, even a little more defendable.

the only thing the Stewards can prove is that Massa is lying to them, go ask Lewis what happens when you do that....

I agree team orders will allways be there, but being so obvious for all to see isnt a good idea.
It only creates problems as seen today.
It isnt so much of the rule breaking that bothers me its allways been there, its the lying and obvious deception and story thats been told accross the team
to try and fool everyone they didnt break the rules.

How will the Stewards prove that? with Lewis the radio transmission was there for all to see, Ferrari's one wasn't so obvious.

Actually, err if Ferrari said: "we think it'd be best for the team to let Alonso pass, what do you think", would that count as team orders?

All you have to do is watch the press conference after the race and listen to massas reaction!!! I find it hard to believe that a man of his stature has to lie infront of millions of people...the fans arnt thick!!!

yeah that is the problem prooving it, everybody knows ferrari used team orders, if only massa would grow a set of balls and man up and tell the truth but wait money ferrari will no doubt offer him to keep his mouth shut in his next contract. hes just a puppet to alonso......how about leave ferrari and go somewhere where you will be have more chance of winning......hell bruno senna has more chance of winning a grand prix than massa does while he no2 to alonso, and to think i used to respect massa as i thought he was a decent guy, how wrong can you be........i dont need to voice my opinions on alonso as everybody knows he an arrogant pr**k

All this cheating has reminded me again of the first race in SIngapore when Alonso garnered a win from his team mate engineering a situation. So thats 2 races now that Alonso hasnt won on merit. The big question is, when will he win a Championship in a similar fashion like Schumacher did over Hill. Yet again I am having to question why I bother following F1, am not so gutted now that I am missing the next race due to attending a mates wedding.

as soon as that message went out, i realised how clever ferrari were. they told him to move without telling him to move! yes we all know what they meant but its very, very difficult to prove

Go ahead and attend the wedding mate, at least you know the two people on the 'podium' deserve their positions there..

Come on people we are all intelegent a simple wink of an eye can say a 1000 words,
its obvious what was said was a team order to let him pass,
they was using foresight from the drivers perspective to tell him what they wanted him to do,
it isnt rocket science realy

ferrari has been found guilty and fined $100,000 are you for real........strip them of there places where it really hurts....you think they care about a measly amount of money that they can just get back just as easy....if there guilty of fixing a race then the race result should be void for the involved parties......what a sham, fia helping ferrari yet again

Team orders disgust me in all forms, whether it be preventing a faster following driver from challenging, off-track manipulation (such as Red Bull's actions in Silverstone) or indeed what we saw today with one driver blatantly moving over to benefit the other. However, for me, the thing that makes today's action very sour is the blatant execution of the move and 'cover up' attempt - that is a true kick in the teeth for F1 fans everywhere. Of course, they can't just say what they were actually doing because of the possible consequences from the stewards, although them simply telling it as it is would somewhat ironically (for me) would have made this episode less horrible to experience as an F1 fan.

The only semi-absolving point is that Alonso is indeed the only Ferrari driver really left in the driver's championship and so from the team's point of view, these actions are a necessary evil in order to maintain a realistic challenge. One thing i must point out is that Martin Brundle did get things right (once again) in his comments during the race, in that today was actually not comparable to Austria 2002 due to the situation. Don't think for one second that the other teams in the title race would hesitate to use these tactics for one second either - there is evidence from recent years that supports that. A sad fact of F1, unfortunately, yet it's always going to exist.

Before people jump down my throat for 'supporting' Ferrari here i am just trying to look at things from all angles. So my own personal conclusion? Disguted and frustrated, yet at the same time understanding (to a very small extent) and ultimately accepting of the inevitable.

I feel indescribably sorry for Felipe Massa today. :( I just hope good karma will give him a nice slice of luck leading to a victory along the line.

Oh, and one last thing - Horner can take any of his comments and shove them given what he's demonstrated this season. I am also amazed at Eddie Jordan for being so vocal when he garned some controversy after apparently using team orders in his first Jordan victory. Pot calling the kettle black? It's oh so common in the F1 media game. You just gotta laugh.

WRONG!!!! Eddie Jordan is the only one talkin the truth he has balls the others are all trying to cover it up for the reputation of ferrari...as for Eddie Jordan breaking the rules in the past there was no actual rule for it then...there is now ...Ferrari seem to always be above the rules there is no other way of looking at it!!! Non of the fans are laughing about this!!!
