On the eve of the German Grand Prix, do you think Vettel is on the hot seat to win this race before his countrymen? Drivers seem to play these situations down but that said, it's a given which could impact their race positively or negatively IMHO.

Agree or disagree?

There is always that little bit of extra pressure in front of your home crowd, but the best drivers can overcome that. I think that is a given; especially when your a rising star like Vettel! Although I suspect more eyes with be on Michael Schumacher this year; and he will be desperate for a good showing in front of his home crowd!

In a way I see Rosberg as being under just as much pressure as Vettle. Obviously the pressure won't be to win, but you know Mercedes is going to be pushing for both their cars to get into Q3 and for Rosberg to perhaps get close to if not.

Mercedes themselves will be wanting to get a good result at this gp as a whole as well. German team and 2 German drivers who in most people's minds need catching up and I'm sure this is the gp to set things straight.

Yes I was learning about that in psychology a while back. I don't remember what the study was called but the idea is that people who are good at the activity will thrive like you said under pressure where as people not so good will crack and screw up under pressure. This can only be related to sports such as snooker and golf rather than for example F1. Just thought I'd put it out there!

Snooker and golf are not sports - they are games at which on a good day even old farts can take home the trophy.

I think the pressure will get to Vettel and he'll stick his index finger in his F-duct. :D

I think Vettel has a higher chance of winning, I think that Having his countrymen there will boost him, Either way he is the most likely to score a win, I think the pressure will be on, he will be still beat up about Silvo really?

The pressure seems to be constructive for the German drivers...Vettel was monstrous to steal pole position from Ferrari which look to be the fastest car in Germany. Michael did very well too, he was pretty much on par with his teammate but unlucky to not make Q3 in the end thanks to Williams improvement.

I expect Vettel to win this race if he completes the first lap in 1st place (and it's a dry race throughout).

I think Vettel will crumble today, Alonso is a presure driver, Like Hamilton. I think Vettel will be overtook by Alonso lap 1, Massa will take him if he is confident like yesterday? he could take him also, i have my hopes up lol

ur definately right n what happened to vettel today on 1st corner was all because of home race pressure. His heartbeat rate must be at the highest while waiting for the red lights off..
