I really wanted Shleck to beat Contador today. Interesting that the gap is exactly what Contador gained the day Schlek lost his chain though.

Lackluster TDF with the exception of Cancellara and Cavendish there were no dominant performances; certainly not by any of the GC riders. I'm pegging Schleck for next year's win. Good tour for the French though, best performance for them in a long while.

Lance gets to save face by leaving there with a win in the team classification.

I'm thinking that the fact that everyone suffered in the mountains so much, may be an indication that the sport is finally mostly free of drugs hence the lack of superhuman duels in the mountains.

The wind hurt the later riders today or I believe they would have been closer to the front.

On the other hand I thought that the battle between Schleck and Contador in the time trial was fantastic. Yes the latter pulled out a bigger margain, but he was very sense and you could sense that, for a brief period of time, things were on the edge.

Also I believe that this year's tour has been one of the most dramatic.

Yes there has been nobody who has stood out and stamped their authority, but I believe that there has been some fantastic moments.

"The Duel in the Mist" was incredible.

I think you're a hopeless romantic and the mist did it for you. Pantani & Armstrong would have been better in the mist.

I agree there were moments, but not amongst the GC contenders. Maybe I'm reading too much into things but I'm hoping that the lack of dominance by a cluster of GC riders means the peloton is drug free as a whole as it hasn't been in a long while.

Yeah the visual spectacle did improve things for me, but at the end of the day i still think there has been a number of stories. Yes the GC hasn't been overly spectactular, but as you say at least we appear to have finally rooted out some of the blatant drug cheats.
