If the crankshaft rotates 19000 times per minute, with 1 fire per cylinder per rotation (* eight) doesnt that make 152,000 per minute ?

I thought the Corvette C6 racecar's were loud when I saw the ALMS race 2 year's ago but nothing compare's to a top fuel car that's for sure.

Unless its a V8, then its 4 :P

Yup. Tractor pulls also. And jet cars. I have yet to hear a F-1 car. One thing on my list before I expire.
