You'd have to be a serious newbie to Formula one to make any claims of greatness based on practice 1 and 2 times. The teams are running all kinds of data tests and overall speed is far from their goals. They want consistent laps to evaluate data from the cars, not qualifying laps. Naturally, every driver has his days when his ego needs a bit of lovin, so sometimes they bust out a quali lap just to beat their team mate...who was doing his job and running data collection laps. It happens..but it means nothing.

Q3 is the only time when such comparison matters....all else is just fodder for the cheerleaders.

Anytime a F1 goes around a track is exciting. But nobody knows what he was running. Maybe because they had limited time Jenson ran heavy, Lewis light. Who knows, who cares... Red Bull have hardly been on top at P and look at their real pace.

You will never convince them, it's like you said. Lewis could win 5 WDC in a row and they would still knock him,you see it's not about his driving or the team he is in, the hate runs deeper. They think it's practice two that we are praising when in fact it's his resilience and grit but blinded by their hate they will never see it. It burns them real hard every time he does well but it just makes him stronger.

On these forums you are a traitor if you praise Lewis or you are one of the gang if you despise him, feck being in the gang.

I want McLaren to win but having Lewis winning is a bonus, following his career has been a great ride up to now and will only get better.

Those things are true and blind hatred of lewis is stupid, but there are also lewis fans that knock Fernando/Jenson etc at every opportunity. It goes both ways but hey, the world would be very boring if we all agreed on everything .

He is not? Did you seriously just say that? Which part do you disagree with. Liar or cheat? I guess Hamilton himself admitting (in a press conference) that he lied and cheated isn't proof enough for you. He himself admitted that he did in fact do both but you are still denying it?

It took an audio recording of his own voice for Hamilton to admit he lied and cheated...so what's it going to take for you to admit it? Do you need video of him admitting it or are you going to say Hamilton was lying when he admitted to lying and cheating? You're going to love him no matter what he does, no matter how many times it's proven....it doesn't even matter if he admits it himself after being caught red handed with recorded audio proof...as long as he gets a tear in his eye when he admits it....well gee, it wasn't his fault. The team made him do it.

But then you still love the team AS WELL so lying and cheating is ok with you no matter what...as long as McLaren isn't the victim. Got that about right, do I? Yeah...we know.
