So if we put it this way,

when i was younger i had the bestest toy, my little brother had a ok toy but it was no way near as good as mine. One day he broke it and your mum decided to take yours from you and give it to him.

Now i will come under criticism because i got upset that my toy was given to my brother because of no fault of his own, rather than my little brothers clumsiness.

Am i suppose to keep my mouth shut or should i pipe up until my mum decides to buy me a new one.

mmm not exactly. If you and your brother had the same toy and he broke his, and your mom, being quite sensible, gave him yours while you recieved a replacement which was still quite a good toy but not one which was as good as your brothers but still better than any of yours friends, and she does this because your brother had been a good boy and had been doing all his chores very well while you had been quite good but not great and this was reflected on the World's Chores table, then yes you should keep your mouth shut unless you are complaining that your mom should have had a talk with you before doing it.

And this is under the circumstance that your mom would have given it back if you had any complaints.

Vettel broke his wing, tough luck!

It's different if the team only has one rushed from the factory to a GP then sure, give it to the one with the points lead but you dont go taking it off of one car and putting it on the other after one was damaged.

If the reports are true that Webber found no improvement with the new front wing, then there should not have been blow back about it. Where RB went wrong was either not consulting with or getting Webber's approval or simply making the reasons clear to the drivers. Or simply letting them KNOW there is no number 1 and number 2, there is only the success of the team.

As outsiders we will not know what happened now that the team is in damage control mode.

In the end, this cost Webber or Vettle or Red Bull nothing tangible in the WCC or WDC competition. It did cost them a lot of intangibles like bad blood and bad PR.

Not really.

- Your mum buys both of you the same toy. A week later she brings you 2 new toys... you dont like the new toy, and pout. Your brother likes the new toy, but it breaks while playing. Your mum the gives him your new toy, the one you didnt like, and gives you back the one you had that you liked. But you pout, becuase your brother is playing nicely with the new toy, so you want it.

Now that's more like it.

If Webber was still intending to use it before Vettel's wing broke, then it doesn't matter if Vettel had liked the new front wing more IMO.

Yep, and theres a difference in saying there isnt much of a difference to the old wing, compared to saying I dont like it..... if you believe the dodgy "un named engineer" story

hehe Doesn't matter really.
Red Bull should have cleared the situation with both drivers before issueing the wing to whichever... and Webber should have asked for what he felt to the team, not to the reporters.

There will be more tension in Red Bull.
Probably soon in mclaren as well, depending on the results of the next couple of races.

yeah you keep saying, thought it was meant to happen a few races ago?? It's wishful thinking from a Fernandista though.

Nothing to do with Fernandism...

There has been tension already in Mclaren, luckily it ended soon because they chose to deal with it inside the team before any escalating... but there were a couple of moments. Also, they didnt take eachother out in Turkey, but they could have... things change in an instant, anything can happen really.

Why? No favouritism there. And no drivers who keep throwing toys out if they cant keep up with their team mate. Both drivers have wins. Both respect each other, and they get on

I think its Red Bull that need to be worrying about the next few fixtures for sure.

Mclaren are fine, funny how people try and put pressure on mclaren.

Nobody's trying... nobody CAN put pressure on Mclaren. They already have it. Everybody does. Red Bull have the pressure of having the best car, and being the ones with the race/championship to 'lose'. Mclaren have the pressure of being the immediate challengers and having to outdo a faster car. Ferrari have had to super perform to even challenge.

Whatever we or anyone says in forums or even the media, is far less than the pressure they already have.

Things can change in an instant.

Death being one of those things.

We're on the forum because we're fans of the sport, the year so far has kept us entertained, I personally like competition much more than Brawn having sewn up the WCC and pretty much the WDC this time last year.
