If i was Whitmarsh? He has the dream team. I would be proud, McLaren will win it this season, It's Just Jenson Or Lewis?

So McLaren Fans? British F1 supporters? Who do you want to win?

Personally I want JB :)

Lewis.
I like jens a lot, more this year than ever...but lewis is better.

That's the most controversial thing you've ever said RC... I'm shocked by your blatant favouritism for Lewis :P:hehe:

Lewis is the drive the wheels off the car type of driver whether it's a McLaren or a Minardi, Jenson is more of a thinking man's driver, bides his time until ready to take advantage of the situation. Right now Lewis is getting more out of the car because of his gung-ho attitude, Jenson is struggling with the McLaren, thinking himself out of trouble with strategy and not tangling with other drivers unnecessarily, Jenson needs to be more aggressive if he wants to beat Lewis this season in my opinion!

I don't think Button needs to change his drive style if he wants to get this year WDC, he is only 12 points behind hamilton.
Button only needs to get a 3rd position (1 race behind the RBR`s) and one Hamilton's DNF(which isnt soooo unlikely since he`s an aggressive driver)
I personally prefer Hamiltons driving(and he really deserves this year's championship....he is running fast as hell and almost never commits mistakes) to Buttons style.
Talking about Mclaren teamates, Hamiltons is to Senna what Button is to Prost and talking about British drivers, Hamilton is to Mansell what Button is to Damon Hill(even though Hamilton is more "intelligent" than Mansell and Button is faster than Hill) and all of them were WDC.
So, yes, i prefer Hamilton`s drive, but i prefer Button to Hamilton.

Ah! but why is he my favourite? Because he is the best  Not the other way round. Thats why Ive supported him since way before F1.

Now Jens....Ive not been over impressed with untill this year. I guess his style is just not the style that I prefer to watch. But with lewis as a measure he's doing damn well. Better than Alonso did. Alonso had lewis as a rookie, making lots of mistakes but if it werent for lewis' dreadful last two race results he'd have beaten Alonso resoudingly. He's also it seems screwed with his head permenantly, Alonso couldnt handle his devastating speed......
But Jenson can. He looks a little bemused on occassions when he has the car to his liking(China quali, Turkey) and still Lewis goes faster; but he puts his head down and gets on with it. Lewis is not a Rookie now and he rarely makes mistakes, and Jenson is close. Comparison with teammates is about as good a measure as you can get and on the evidence Jenson comes above Alonso in my eyes.

To be honest I wasnt a big Jenson fan when he was at Hona/Brawn so im not going to change my opinion because he is now with Mclaren.

Jenson won 6 of the first 7 races in 2009 (55 points of his 95 total!). What did he do the rest of the seaseon? He won because everyone else was sooo bad at the start of 09!

But BGP only had the best car until the british GP, in that GP the RBR`s were already better and in the end of the season, RBR were way better than BGP, Mclaren was also better than them, and even Raikkonen's Ferrari was at the same level if not better than BGP...

Thats my point 40 points from the last 10 races is hardly the sign of a world champion!

Well, It depends...if you don't have the best car, the fact you're not winning anymore doesn't mean you're crap.
And, honestly, the order he got his wins doesn't matter at all...but I`m sure that if had got 39 points in the first 10 races and 56 point in the last 7, he would be considered a truly genius.

And without the Hungary pit stop incident and the Japan wet mistake crash, then it would have been the other way around.
"Resoundingly"... hah!

His devastating speed he could handle. 1pt behind in the championship is a perfect example. What he definitely didnt handle was his BS :)

Your statements are written in a way that they look as facts, when they are only opinions... the disease of the Lewis and Mclaren fans :ill:

Child-like i dont know... define child-like. :)

In any case, your statement is definitely more opinion than fact...

*sets up camp to await this turning into another Ferrari V McLaren fanboy war*

You know, a thread like this should probably have extreme regulation or something, anything off topic gets removed.
