Definitely subliminal... even more than the bar code. i guess as long as Marlboro is the title sponsor they will have to find ways to incorporate some sort of association. Even after they end their contract, the 2 brands will likely be asociated for a while.

dont really like the new logo... but its not terrible. Maybe needs some improvement on the area of the 'scuderia' text... its prob not even official yet.

In Microsoft Office Word open the Format tab > Font > Character Spacing > Spacing > Condensed > by approx 1.8 pt. I was able to replicate the Marlboro logo exactly when I condensed letter spacing.

Well Marlboro is Ferrari's major sponsor so in the end they have to be seen otherwise what would be the point of Marlboro sponsoring Ferrari. So this is a design trick that would work to make people think of the cigarettes when the see the Ferrari logo.

Yes but the advertisng of Cancer sticks is Banned in F1....

In the realm of things to talk about in the sport, this is low on the totem pole.

Anyway, I think this is the logo Marlboro wanted them to actually use.

End of the day I think that they do not advertise Marlboro on the car? they use a barcode, new comers will not have a clue. I think it has been took way too far. I respect certain aspects as a non smoker my self. But the new logo looks good and just feels like a well respected logo, I just hope we do not lose the Marlboro contract because that is obviously a BIG contract. Plus it is Retro? Like the old days. I loved it when WEST sponsored McLaren, they had such a cool logo when they couldn't put WEST. Or Mild 7? I think it is a good way or getting money into the SPORT too. But all in all the logo is a good proffesional, new design for Ferrari, I hope they put the sort of style williams have on there car, the sort of swoosh? They need to update there design if they are going to move forward and push Marlboro out? & maybe obtain a big contract like McLaren and Vodafone?

Some people dont like their teams being ridiculed like Ferrari do. Funny thing is they say its subliminal, Ferrari says its not and they remove it. They knew the game was up, but just swear blind its not.
