Yeh i'll get over it a lot quicker than the guys have gotten over the Schumacher - Hill episode...

On the SC, i dont see the reason why the FIA changed last yr's regs to make it fit to this yr's while overlooking the most basic reason they had to change it for: refueling.

The SC should be a time for safety, not to claim positions. One thing is to get lucky with timing and another is to claim positions.
If the fia and the fans feel F1 needs SC for excitement, then something else is terribly wrong.

And yet another is benifitting from a staged crash by your team mate and claim a win.

Oh me too. I was being purely hypothetical.

And 'the hamster', you just did bring him in.

If Lewis is the hamster, Alonso became his pellets in Valencia! :hehe::D

The are doing an ammendement to the SC... its not really much of a change, except that the whole field has to keep at SC speeds regardless of being in front of or behind the SC. Also, some additional markings for the SC lines...

Now that the FIA has admitted being late in calling the penalty due to 'taking care of other bussiness'... i think it wouldn't be too late for a black flag to be applied. After all, 2 weeks is not that long a time.

hmm I think most teams were hoping (like me) to have the pit closed. But I'm sure the FIA wants to keep the spirit of show alive. Not terrible, but I will be really pissd off next time i see a stupid traffic light at pit exit :irked:

black flag? seriously get over it!

yes as i suspected the race stewards were busy with multiple infractions.... So no race fixing Fernando, your record of winning a race due to fixing stands!

The stewards were dealing with multiple infractions but Alonso seemed to be having multiple infarctions. :)

What's so bad about a late black flag?

"Busy with multiple infrations"... ie they had no idea what went on.
There were no multiple infractions, as the other ones were dealt even later than the SC one... they claim they were busy dealing with Webber, but it took him secs to get out. And all the debris was in the run-off area. Webber even got out before the med car got to him...

Race control was clueless, and they will not alter the results. Period.

EDIT: oops 'would' and 'will' mean something different...

you're truly delusional if you think they will alter the race results now and Black flag him. Like i said previously its wishful thinking you really need to let it go, it was a marginal infraction 1M for gods sake the points stand so move on!

What was the safety car for? I must have dozed off because one minute everything was fine and then the Safety Car comes out. No-one in the barriers, no obvious debris on the track. Maybe the stewards dozed off too, decided that the race was too boring and thought they'd inject some interest.

There was debris, a front wing endplate, which is quite a massive piece of gear.
