One problem, though...You're being completely reasonable and logical, and that doesn't fly here. :hehe:

I know; I think a ban is in order; making the place look respectable; it's really not on!:P:hehe:

Not so sure about that here in the UK. During the Senna years, McLaren were everywhere, I don't really remember a great UK support for Ferrari until Mansell drove for them for a while... And that was more support for him and fell away once he left the team. When Williams started dominating for a few years, the UK fanbase was mostly for Williams. I remember as a lad we all loved the black and gold Lotus of Emerson Fitipaldi here. The much larger and more vocal Ferrari fanbase came about when Todt brought the team out of a 20 year slump in fortunes and got Brawn and Schumacher in.

I'm sure that Ferrari have always had a huge fanbase in Italy and perhaps some non racing nations, but I'll bet in the UK, and Germany with strong national racing teams they've not been as important as some others.

Probably, but it doesnt really matter. (ie... who is big and has big fanbase and where, is not a measure of greatness)

To be honest, claiming that Ferrari IS F1 (Luca), or that they have more right to be there than ANY other team (most Fezza fanboys) only makes me dislike the team more. EVERYONE has to start somewhere. Enzo had to build his first car... Bugatti, Ford, Spyker etc. were all building cars before he came on the scene. Does that make them even more important than Ferrari? Of course not. All teams old, middlin' and new are equal competitors in the sport. Start giving one team unecessary prominence and it's not an equal sport any more.

Ferrari is F1, is not the same as F1 is Ferrari... :)

Williams and McLaren as well as a good few other teams all have a great history, and McLaren, RBR and Renault/Mercedes are definitely in the same class as Ferrari, (in fact you could say that in the last 15 years, Ferrari have pulled themselves back into the same class as McLaren and Williams) and long may that continue.

Even more so... a certain history 20 yrs ago... menas very little today.

However, AKR seems to be interested in showing how great Ferrari is... and not to focus on how great their races and racing history has been. they've had great history, and great races. Many other teams have... maybe not as much; but who cares, and how much does that matter today?

ROFL! I've only been here five minutes! And I came here because I thought this place was supposed to be logical and reasonable. Ho hum... Never mind.

How about this? Jim Clarke would wipe the floor with any Fezza driver... Even in his Lotus Cortina.

Does that make me a bit less logical and reasonable?:wink:

It matters greatly. Greatness gives me passion. My life would be extremely boring without passion. Culture gives me passion. Ferrari as an automobile and race stable gives me much passion which in F1 alone, other teams do not. That simple really.

Ferrari have always had more supporters. Even when McLaren and Williams were dominating. The same things as of now applied then. Ferrari is a special team with much history and hertiage. McLaren and Williams are just F1 teams. Williams are nice, I have a spot for them always, but they are not in the same calibur as Ferrari.

Perhaps you are right about the UK and even Germany, but this wasn't the case in Italy and in countries such as Croatia for example. And I always recalled seeing many Ferrari flags at the US and Australian GPs when watching those on TV.

ah, ok i see what you mean...

But that's AKR only :) and like i said, i dont think its the way to go on about sports/team seeing how much things can change in a short time... bascially, how great or not Ferrari could have been 50yrs ago, makes very little difference today. Same with other teams. Lots of teams have been great in their own times... doesnt mean much anymore, except some nice romantic memories.......

Clearly you have no idea or undestand when I speak of passion and culture. But that's ok and understandable as you nor bud have neither. Both of you are soulless like the rubbish you speak and in F1 alone, like the soulless no culture, no passion teams that you follow. Pointless really trying to explain to you something that you cannot comprehend.

Of course, I had to expect this from you. Compare me to Hitler or the like. Pathetic little insignificant insults that are a true sign of weakness on your behalf of course. Oh and I never said I was superior to or anyone else. You assume this automatically because of my very passionate way of thinking, which in your eyes is wrong and will always be wrong, because you simply cannot even begin to comprehend me.
