Never discount Vettel. That boy is the hungriest man on circuit... And he's got every potential to be another German wunderkid! Good job he's such a likeable lad. It would be fair to say Sebastian Vettel is not on the Christmas card list of two of his countrymen and F1 rivals.

Veteran journalist Roger Benoit, long-time correspondent for the Swiss newspaper Blick, travelled to Montreal on the same Zurich flight as Vettel and Mercedes' Nico Rosberg.

He said the pair were seated not a car's length apart, but neither greeted one another nor exchanged a single word.

Benoit said the reason for the freeze was "clear": a few days earlier, Rosberg had said Vettel was definitely to blame for his crash with Red Bull teammate Mark Webber in Turkey.

Meanwhile, after Sunday's Canadian grand prix, 22-year-old Vettel triggered the temper of Force India driver Adrian Sutil.

Vettel, he revealed to the media, had approached the 27-year-old and sarcastically asked if his rearview mirrors had fallen off during the Montreal race.

"He should be quiet. He thinks he's a superstar," Sutil is quoted as retorting.

Biggest point is tho he can not overtake you need to do that to win the WDC

This is the second post I've made that someone's argued with! Don't us n00bs get a grace period or something? It's not like I've nailed my colours to the mast and declared a fanatical devotion to a particular driver now is it?

P.S. As a n00b here, I'll declare the above post as being satyrical and sarcastic...

I am however convinced that Vettel will do wonders in the next couple of seasons. Like Jenson needing that first win, Seb will come good... And gawd help us if he has a whole career in a good car.

He's upsetting people... doesnt matter much. He took out his teammate... that's it. There was a whole scenery made out over who was at fault or who wasn't. Most of that was not even made or said by him. Except he thought Mark should have given him room; maybe he should have maybe not... But it doesnt matter, because the mistake was that he took him out.

He didnt hide behind anyone. He said what he thought, and it could have been right or wrong; it was not nice to have said or done the loco signs... that takes away from him; but other drivers have been as or more annoying and still have their legions.........

We'd like it to be like that... but as things are now, I dont think its even needed. Frankly, all Vettel has needed is reliability. The WDC would be clinched by now. Without even caring whether he took Webber out, or if he can or cant overtake....

i have to say again, I think Jenson will finish with higher pts than Lewis.

If you think about the Valencia race, Jenson started from a pretty poor position and managed to finish right with Hamilton... controversy, and mistake free. Lewis is probably faster, but Jenson makes very little or no mistakes and often gets the strategy spot on. What he needs is to find better Q pace.

IF he (jenson) manages it, he can take the WDC from Vettel.

Button won't finish higher than Hamilton unless Button is blessed with more great luck and/or Lewis is cursed with more bad luck. Button won't finish ahead of Hamilton by outperforming him.

Button also didn't start from that bad of a position. I've watched Hamilton start at or near the back and work his way through most of the field, while in Valencia Button advanced four positions. As for strategy, Button's just been lucky. He's had a lucky tire choice, not knowing whether it would have paid off for him or bitten him in the bottom, and it really could have went either way.

Hamilton's still the better driver of the two. Button's just got luck on his side.

He hid behind marko and let marko come out and blame webber when it was clearly without any shadow of a doubt vettles fault.

Vettle said very little about it, he let his babysitter do the talking.


Look Vettle can't overtake and that will cost him points.

Lewis can and hes gained points by actually overtaking his charge from the back in Malaysia is a great example of this.

Hamilton's still the better driver of the two. Button's just got luck on his side.

Hamilton is arguably the most exciting driver to watch on the grid, period. therefore he's a lightning rod for everyone, media or drivers. No one shoots for number 2. It's why Jenson chose to race for McLaren in the first place he wanted to be measurer with the same yardstick as Hamilton and you've got to respect Jenson for that. On your comment with Jenson having luck at his side, after a certain consistent amount of luck it starts to be less about luck and more about preparation, I don't know if that's going to be enough to get more points than his teammate this season but he's doing pretty damned well right now.
