cant be that safe of a car then...

Don't go making assumptions before the truth comes out. Maybe the LFA driver was not buckled in? Maybe he suffered the same injury Dale Earnhardt did a 'basilar skull fracture'?

im pretty sure a test driver would get the fundamentals of being secured with a seat belt. But its true not knowing the cause of death its hard to make assumptions, being 67 its possible he had a heart attack.

Toyota did not need this.

The two test drivers in the BMW survived, that's tough perception to have to deal with (from a corporate standpoint) regardless of the facts.

I hope the true cause of the accident and the drivers death is revealed.

Yes I think your right as the timing could not be worse for them.

Both Naruse and his passenger in the LFA were pronounced dead at the scene, whilst the driver and passenger of the BMW are said to have been seriously injured – one of them is tonight in a critical condition.

So there were two people i the LFA

According to reports, Toyota's chief test driver, 67-year-old Hiromu Naruse, has died in a crash on highway 410 near the famed Nürburgring race track in Germany. He was driving the recently spied Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition (above) at the time of the accident, and reports say he veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with two others test drivers in a BMW. The two BMW test drivers survived the crash, though one is reportedly still in critical condition. German video of the crash scene after the accident took place can be viewed below. Police are investigating the crash and have yet to determine its cause.
