I can't help but wish Argentina to score, I'll admit I find Mardonna's hugs kinda hypnotic - and endearing.

Dunno who the bloke on the right is but his mum on the left seems to be getting carried away :hehe:

Talk about leaving it to the last moment to score for the USA; and England still don't look convincing, better than the first two games, but not good enough to win this world cup; I hope Germany don't win Group D; I always get nervous when England face Germany in a knock out stage...

Beating Germany 5 -1 in the World Cup finals... it'll be 1966 all over again... at least that's what the SUN backpage will say!!!

Shame it won't happen; I just hope it's not penalties, how many times have England been knocked out on penalties?!?!

Good performance from the Aussies today to win 2 - 1; if the Aussies could have scored a third and not conceded; they would have made it through to the last 16!

Winner of group A plays group B runner up, and vice versa. Same goes for groups C&D, E&F, G&H etc etc.

After the group games are done (on Friday) it's just a knockout competition with the Extra Time and Penalties we all love so much....

Cool, so there's a concrete advantage to wining your group. Thanks for the info, I spent a while on ESPN trying to find out and came up empty.
