If you have 56k this is not the post for you sorry...but if your PC is up to date, your internet is high speed, and you have a few minutes to spare here's my new car. Well old car, kind of.
In case you've been hiding under a rock the past week or so, I'm a new member to the Formula1.net forums. Furthermore, I'm from the states where some of us actually would die for better F1 coverage...so I guess its safe to say if it wasn't for this forum I might be somewhere in another dimension. That is not the case and yes I am glad to be here

I've seen a few members' cars and I must say I have been impressed. My car isn't new but it isn't exactly old either; its a 2006 Dodge Charger SE purchased November 2005. I wish I would have got the Hemi, but it would have been pricier and not economical considering I drive 30 miles from school to work....and another 40 or so to home and back to school or work. Nevertheless, the car has treated me well so far, and recently I have put the finishing touches on her. I love this car and I plan to keep it forever because this is my first 'new' car I've owned.

Wow, I remember this day like it was yesterday. I spent the night before in Windsor, Ontario with my girlfriend (well my Canadian gf at the time  ) and all I could think about when I with her (sorry Lora) was my car coming in the next day.

Winter sunset - Belle Isle Park - Detroit

Usually where I take my dates whenever I'm in Canada. The view from that park is so amazing....The best place to catch the Detroit Fireworks and the Red Bull Air Race!!!

The Charger is actually made in Ontario about 20 minutes from her house. Got up around 7 am, got all the xoxo stuff out the way, and to my surprise minimal traffic on the bridge. The tunnel usually has the most traffic anyways so no worries there

Here's a good shot of the bridge on the way back to the United States on a cold November morning...

Finally, after the anticipation the car is officially mine by 5:00 PM.

I was excited, but never drove her too much that winter. As you can tell from the shots, there was a lot of salt on the roads at the time and January had yet to come
For a while I drove the car stock, and still was a good vehicle overall. Here's a good pic taken that summer downtown

When winter rolled back around I decided to add a few mods. For one debadging that HIDEOUS ram symbol, tinting the tails, and getting a personalized plate. Thanks Jeff for taking the pictures for me. Sorry Jeff for not blurring out your address, my bad
Image

Now here's the car currently. Haven't modded her since 2009. Most recent mods are Wheels, brakes, leather seats from Katzkin, SRT front end, Eibach Suspension, 2010 tails, SRT spoiler

New personalized plate OT KING short for Overtime King. Not only did I have to work a lot of overtime to get this baby, I love basketball and in the 4th quarter and overtime is where I do the most damage. I need to take off the Notorious Tintz sticker just haven't got around to it yet

Looking good PK  , the SE is the fwd V6 right? If so that is the car we used in the police academy for our law enforcement driving course and I thoroughly enjoyed the car as it handles quite well for a fwd platform and was very comfortable.

I don't really go much on American muscle cars but that one looks sweet; looks good in black! :)

A very mean looking machine, glad you enjoy F1 hopefully next year maybe the coverage will be better in the USA.
Going back to the Charger, have you seen "Bullit"? In the film a Dodge C is used to great affect chasing McQueen in his Shelby(which he ended up keeping),the guy driving the Charger was a stunt driver who taught McQueen, anyway i digress but love muscle cars.

Welcome to the forum Mr/Mrs/Miss Mugen

I have not watched Bullit in ages... I think the chase scene in Ronin beat it slighly IMHO.

They were both very good, however McQueen actualy drove the car in bullit (well most of the driving) there.

So props to McQueen for that.

Greatest car chase movie, what about LeMans? Its about Some Porches being chased by Ferraris and visa versa

c'mon gregg you should know your american muscle!
The LX platform is RWD. It's an old Mercedes S class platform. The LX comprises the charger, 300, challenger and the discontinued magnum.
stamped and assembled at Brampton assembly.
Both generations of the LH were made there previously, and they were FWD. LH is the Intrepid, Concorde, LHS, New Yorker, Vision, 300M.
I do shutdown work in ther whenever it comes up, and I'll likely be there in a couple of weeks.

Sorry to disappoint but I do not really care about most production cars especially the american ones and I do not consider the SE to be 'american muscle'. The only Dodges I really pay attention to, very little also, is the Viper and the Dodge Ram with the Cummins engine.

Its a Dodge Charger, if that isnt' an American muscle car then what is?

Its nice but don't like the wheels on it tho, paint them black.

chrome's well too blingy.

Just because it is labled a Charger does not mean it falls into the definition of a muscle car.

Sorry to disappoint

apology accepted but don't let it happen again!

I just thought you would be familiar enough with American cars in general since you always sounded like you know about cars, and I also do not consider a V6 large sedan muscle, I was using the term in another, looser sense.
The only Dodges I really pay attention to, very little also, is the Viper and the Dodge Ram with the Cummins engine.

fair enough if you don't like Chryslers. I'm not big on them either.
Somehow I got to know what all the models are from all the big 3 and if I can do it you can do it. This circles us back around to the subject of the first part of this post :hehe:

bottom line if your test car was FWD it was not a Charger. Maybe it was an Intrepid. If it was a Charger, it was RWD. The 2 V6s available in it are the 200hp 2.7 and the 250hp 3.5. Then the so called Hemi 340 hp 5.7 V8 and the SRT's 425 HP 6.1. Those HP figures I gave could be out of date though. Come to think of it those 2 V6s are the same 2 engines that were available in the Intrepid.

Its got big american engine in the front, and its RWD it is a muscle car.

In the same way a Vauxhall Monaro is a Muscle Car.

The point I was trying to make Gaz was that just because it has a Charger badge does not mean it is a muscle car, I personaly do not consider a V6 a 'muscle car'. Don't forget that I grewup in the days of 'muscle cars' so I know what the term means to most people.

The car we are discussing here is PK's SE-V6 model anyway so enough whoring.
