We can all sit on our armchairs and say oh it was stupid that he said it but we've all said somthing we've regretted in the heat of the moment.

When LH hit the radio button i doubt he was thinking the whole worlds gonna hear this, he was prob just fueming after loosing 2nd place.

The Diffrence between Vettle and Lewis in this situation is Lewis said somthing in the heat of the moment.

Wheras Vettle after the race and after viewing he replys still thinks hes in the right after driving into his team mate on a straight road.

I'm certainly not defending Vettel, and I've said in here a few times now that he was completely at fault for the incident. But you can't slam Vettel and then claim Hamilton is holy. Hamilton has said plenty of bad things when not in the heat of the moment. Monkeys at the back, lying to the stewards, etc, etc... Both Hamilton and Vettel seem to trend towards childishness in my opinion. I will say this, Hamilton appears to be growing now that he is out from under daddy's umbrella. I believe someone has his ear who is helping him outgrow his mistake prone driving style and his running off at the mouth like he has in the past.

As for him not knowing radio transmissions are broadcast....do you really believe what you said is remotely possible? Hamilton isn't a rookie anymore. He knew and he shouldn't have done it. McLaren haters all over the world laughed out loud when that radio call came over the radio. The announcers wondered aloud what he was thinking to send something like that. The second time it happened, the announcers said he needed to be sat down and spoken to about it...which I'm sure happened.

I'm not calling Hamilton holy i'm saying hes just reacting that way because its the heat of the moment you don't usualy see him running his mouth off after the race.

And i never said Lewis didn't know his radio is broadcast i said he wasn't thinking about the fact its going ot be broadcast.

He was annoyed he'd trusted the team and the call was a bad one yeh it was stupid but at least hes not some robot.

Ah but Gaz, they do call him a robot. He's a trained PR machine told what to say one minute, the next he's opening his mouth when he shouldnt and 'saying things' . C'mon guys its one or the other!

Thing is some folk just dislike him and since they cant have a go at his driving cos he's driving superbly, they pick any other stupid little thing they can.

The romance is off Billy boy.

Tex, you proclaim to like all teams yet in threads like this you show your true colours and your dislike of anything McLaren/Lewis.

Nope, he's saying the dumb stuff in the car where no one else is about to stop him, then once he gets out, the PR lot can get to him and tell him exactly what to say to please the masses. Simple! :hehe::twisted:

Beeson you know what's pathetic? Not naming names!

Is that a veiled admission to hating Alonso and slating him even when it's not necessary? Cause it's what you do :P

This is a lighthearted post before anyone goes crazy...

No. he's a racing driver concerned with winning. He's not bothered about all that crap.

Wrong. I dislike all the fawning over Lewis as if he is perfect and can do no wrong.

I think that drivers should take a leaf out of the books of drivers from the 60s/70s/80s, if someone runs you off the road or crashes into you causing the loss of major points, after the race, he'd go punch the other driver in the face... instead of all the whining and bitching in the press; man up and drive the damn car... it's not like it's hard to drive an F1 car compared to the drivers of the 50s/60s/70s. Maybe teams should fine a driver $1m each time they bitch over the radio?

If it came down to a fist fight, my money would be on Mark Webber in the Red Bull camp!!!

I wouldn't speak so soon. RBR is and has been the best car in 2010. A bit of unrleability problems, which still should have kept them above the rest of the pack. What has happened at RBR instead is a clear lack of team management. Horner should know better instead of acting like a debutant. And the RBR drivers are not as smart as the McLaren's. So, if Mark and Seb acquire a little more brain cells, as they should, and if the "horny man" does his job, the RBR team is still the team to beat. Of course kudos to the Macca for the ingenuity of the F-duct and aero solutions. But when we have only one race so far where the 2 Macca drivers are first and second in the tables, it's premature to call for a dinasty or what you call "a golden age". Let's wait til the end of the season to see what happens. The golden days are still those with Senna and Prost. Hakkinen's two title in a row was also a bright period. This latest burst to the top needs to be continued to be considered at par with the past. Statistically, RBR and Ferrari can win the title this year. So, don't count your chicken before they hatch!
