I can't wait for the game; I have loved all the previous incarnations and have GT5 Prologue... November 2nd can't come quick enough for me, can't wait for a spin around the top gear test track... but what was going on at the end with Vettel and Newey?

That peaked my interest..

Nothing's been confirmed but I'm hoping to see a few F1 cars in the game, there was the Ferrari F2007 in prologue so maybe we'll see the likes of BMW,Toyota,Mclaren,Honda,Renault,Red Bull and any other manufacturer that have other production/racing cars in the game. Red Bull'll be in the WRC part of the game but I don't see why Vettel and Newey would have anything to do with that.

Nov. 2nd is the NA and Japan(I think) release date but they didn't say anything about anywhere else.

Top gear track will be cool and there's three Nurburgring circuits, the original, the GP circuit and the two combined.

Just as well I live in North America then isn't it; really don't understand why Europe gets the game later; it is just as big a market as Japan or North America!

From what I've read, Red Bull has some involvement with Polyphony and GT5, and they seem to be proud of that. According to Red Bull's website:

Red Bull Racing will be playing an important part in the next edition of Sony's PlayStation series Gran Turismo which is released this November.

For months the F1 team has been working with Polyphony, the company behind the game after Red Bull was asked to become part of the latest chapter: GT5 – The Real Driving Simulator.

In this version, gamers will get the chance drive the Nordschleife, try out the Top Gear test track and unlock a special car which... well, let's just say Adrian Newey is involved as is Sebastian Vettel and they both met the game's designer Kazunori Yamauchi in Milton Keynes earlier this year. The Factory and the Red Bull-owned Hangar-7 restaurant in Salzburg have also been recreated and feature within the game.

I suspect we may at least see Red Bull's F1 car in the game, and possibly the 2010 incarnation (not sure how that works in terms of licensing since I know Codemasters is doing the F1 2010 game). Maybe the game won't officially call it Formula 1, but perhaps instead may refer to it as something like "Formula Polyphony" or "Formula Gran Turismo".

Yes the game that I saw as the main reason to get a ps3 is soon here! (November 2nd)

Give your thoughts and opinions on this thread!

So far it's a bit empty. It could use some photos and videos, I think, and some discussion/debate about game features.

Now about the game itself: It looks pretty, and it has a lot of cars, though it doesn't have as many tracks as Forza Motorsport 3, which is kind of a shame. FM3 has just 400 plus however many have come through DLC, and I haven't even driven many of those after spending hundreds of hours with the game so far, so it's unlikely that I would ever even drive a third of GT5's 1000 (give or take) cars. This being the case, I kind of wish they'd have given me fewer cars in favor of a few more tracks to race on.

There's still the rumor about a track editor, as far as I'm aware, but thus far it's still just a rumor. I want it to be true. If so, I really hope we can do a lot with it rather than it just being crude and basic. I would like to make some rough replicas of various real-world tracks, and I'm sure plenty of other players would also be trying the same.

The number of tracks seems to be a very hazy issue. Appearanty there's 20 "Locations" and over 70 tracks. I really hope it isnt 20 venues and 5 subtly different versions of each venue.

We still havent seen any rain yet. Dynamic weather would be awesome with a drying line etc and it would be cool to see a shower in the distance moveing closer but maybe thats asking too much.

The one track I would love to have in GT5 is Spa Francorchamps... it'd be great to drive around Spa in some of my favourite cars...
