Has anyone noticed how low profile Jean Todt has been recently. In the Max era it seemed like everything was about Max. He was aways around. Always being quoted and mentioned in reports. Max Max bloody Max.

Hardly hear a whisper of Jean Todt lately.

When Todt came everyone were sceptic and mad about it. Now he's done a good job (in my opinion) and I haven't seen any good words about him. Maybe just that "well he ain't that bad" but he deserves some credit. Right now I like where he's taking F1

I think just like the Ferrari years Jean Todt is good at delegating and does not to be at every race sticking his nose into things. Jean must just trust the people at the races.

Kinda hard to keep a low profile with such a huge head. :hehe:

I know, I know, immature joke. Bear with me, it's Monday. :D

So far Jean Todt has done a good job, not interfering constantly like his predecessor but it's still relatively early early days; we are only 8 races into the season!!!

I dont know about that because if it was Max we would have heard plenty from him already.

He hasn't been quiet at all, it is just that unlike Mosley and Balestre, Todt has chosen to conduct affairs through the FIA rather than speaking for the FIA.

The Frenchman has been very visible in the rallying world recently, as he tries to help revive the WRC and try to show that the governing body does not simply centre around F1.

Additionally Todt made his first controversial comment last weekend when he said that FOTA would not decide the tyre supplier and that it would be between the FIA and the commercial rights holder.

I think this is how it should be. During Max's time, I remember Sir Jackie saying Max was directing the show with himself as the main protagonist....which was not the right way.

Someone should be quietly pulling the strings to make the show exciting and ethical. So far from what I see in the TV screen, Jean Todt is as good a President as he was team boss at Ferrari (in the effective way, not ethical).
