Now I noticed; I haven't seen Jensonb posting for a long time, where'd he go?

I think it's premature to claim a new "golden age" for McLaren.
This year McLaren has the f-duct, and they are the only top team that's really making it work for them. Without the f-duct they'd be several steps back. The f-duct is banned for next season, so they won't have that advantage next year. (They wouldn't have that advantage even if f-ducts weren't banned as there would be time for other teams to integrate f-ducts into their cars. I see no reason why McLaren will necessarily produce a better car for 2011 than Ferrari or Red Bull.
While McLaren look fast now, there's still ample opportunity for other teams to catch and overtake them. Alonso is saying that the championship is still possible for him, and it's possible (not necessarily probable) that another team such as Ferrari could take a step and overtake McLaren.
I am stunned by the sophistication and elegance of your argument.
haha i knew you would have some pathetic comment like that.

i roll my eyes at you because its the same old thing coming from you, McLaren wouldnt be fast without the F duct you say, how do you know this? They invented the thing and built their car around it, so it is what it is, they are not a team that has just stuck it on their car to make a difference. Without the F duct McLaren would have spent their time and energy in another area of the car which if the FOTA gentlemen's agreement stands for next year on the f duct then they will work around it as they worked around the loss of KERS!

Well, at least this is vaguely on topic.
Martin Brundle was saying at length how much of an advantage McLaren were getting from the f-duct, as they were able to put on more wing than the other teams without sacrificing top speed. He also went on to describe how other teams hadn't really obtained any advantage from it.
While if McLaren didn't have the F-duct, they would have spent the time and energy working on another part of the car, that does not mean that they would have found an equal advantage elsewhere. Anyone who has watched F1 for any length of time knows that sometimes teams find something unusual that gives them a technical advantage. Tyrrell with X-Wings, Lotus with ground effects, Brawn with a double decker diffuser etc. The f-duct is one such item.
So, I don't think anything you post successfully argues against my claim that it's too early to claim that McLaren are entering a golden era as this year they have a one-off advantage in the f-duct.

To say a golden age might be a bit ott but the way McLaren seem to be able to update the car through the season seems unreal.
when Jenson won the first race Lewis did some little rant. When jenson challenged him for the win in turkey, Lewis made his good pout all over the press conference and the podium ceremony. Things are going well for Mclaren as a team because jenson is very mature, not because of Lewis.

Where to begin? Firstly, what the hell is a 'good pout'? And when did Lewis Hamilton in your own broken English 'do some little rant'? You are imagining this s***. Lewis Hamilton is 100% genuine, you are obviously one of these idiots who hate him for his perfection.
