Dude, no England fan is assuming we'll win with ease! I agree that we have to play to our potential to even have a chance of getting somwhere. But we can still do it, and there's nothing wrong with optimism. Why hold it against us regular people (in a manner of speaking) if the media are a bunch of tools? That's what i just don't get.

Assuming you will win it is enough TBH, rather than take everything one game at a time and progressing through the competition alot of people have already assumed you have already reached the final and won that as well, as for the media they have alot to answer for even up here, the constant mention of 1966 is another thing which pisses people off as well, we get the same TV and same adverts as you guys do and every second advert has some kind of England theme to it, which leads me to my next point, just how many f,ing Mars bars did they actually give John Barnes to do that advert? ?? He's a big lad now ehh?

And yeah, i am up in Scotland a lot and have seen a lot of shouting at TV ads. I couldn't believe Barnes in the Mars bar ad either.

In what I've watched so far of the game, it's damned tough to listen to those vuvuzelas blasting all throughout the match. I know people are split on this, but to me it's tortuous to have them CONTINUOUSLY droning.

Australia getting maulled by Germany. By the way Australia were denied a clear cut penalty. The German player hand balled the ball in the penalty area which was a pena;ty for Australia and it wasn't given. I guess the Aussies are going to cry over this like they did in 2006 against Italy. Yeah, I hope the Germans aren't peaking too early, but on the other hand, Australia was really no match. Good warm-up for THE tournament side in history - they usually play above their pay grade in big events.
