Should be an interesting race tomorrow, especially with the different strategies. If it rains overnight, Hamilton and Alonso could be in trouble in the early stages of the race. Although they were expected to do worse than they have, Red Bull have managed to put themselves in a position where they can win the race. Of course, this is all if there is no safety car or rain...

Funny, because there is forecast of rain for tomorrow... i dont see why RB decided to put the hards for the 1st stint. If its raining/wet there is no use for a long 1st stint

Because if it isn't wet, the hard tyres will last longer than the softs. If it rains overnight, the grip will be cleared away again and the soft tyres will suffer a lot more.

sure, but then they will have to see the end of the race with softs... which they dont know how long they will be good for, so they cant really change their stop depending on tire degradation (for example if they start on soft, they can pit when the tires get bad, but if they strat on hard they dont know how long will the soft endure to know when to make the change).

Unless it rains, they they dont have to use the softs at all... hmm maybe this is it? because i read somewhere that rain is on the forecast for tomorrow.

Stella lap from Lewis. And probably deserved the reprimand. Was definitely a bit on the cheeky side from McLaren there.

CAN'T WAIT FOR TOMORROW!

I would put a decent bit of money on there being more than one safety car tomorrow.

As we saw about a thousand slides today, why not? :D

Any guesses for what lap the car comes out on?

I'm not seeing this as actually being confirmed anywhere, yet. Waiting on the official document being published.

Additionally, tomorrow's forecast appears to have changed to sunny.

Just read it on the news section, surely the fine should go to McLaren rather than Lewis ?

Not necessarily; as Lewis was show-boating out on the track; riding atop the car and pushing his McLaren... either way on his salary he can afford $10,000.

But it was a great lap from Lewis; while Jenson struggled to get temperature into the brakes apparently. I half expect the Red Bull's to jump the McLaren off the start and run off into the distance. I think that Lewis had to put much more effort into driving his car than the Red Bull drivers did. The big question is; which of the four world champions will push a little too hard through the final chicane and end up in the wall of champions?

The way he's been going i'd suggest Alonso...!

I don't get why everyone seems to be raving about Hamilton's lap when the gap was easily accounted for by the soft tyres. I tell you what though, i thought this track would be the most ideally suited to McLaren of all on the calendar, so it's kind of ominous about Red Bull's pace and ability to keep it up throughout the season and across all types of track. :(

I don't get this, dont know if this has already been posted but hasn't Hamilton already been reprimanded? How many till a big penalty because this is rediculous clear breach on rules and he should be penalised. I mean Schumacher dealt the full brult of power making me think this new FiA system is slightly flawed. I dont post much here but I come on alot and this just makes me want to post. You guys are great on this site and you all make great efforts on here specially the long term posters who I have been reading from for a long time. Good stuff from you all! oh well hoping for a great race tomorrow hope you all enjoy.

That is what you want to believe.

Alonso was on softs, Button was on softs... :drink:

0.3 second gap is not the real gap between warmed up mediums and supersofts though. Bridgestone said the performance is about the same, and the times showed this. All that happened was that this track, Canada, is in the palm of Hamilton's hands.

On the Mclarens is strange that their top speeds are down, maybe they realise that downforce is needed to compensate for the low grip surface, thereby making up for the loss in top speed.

All that hamilon can hope for tomorrow is that he pulls away from the Bulls, and maybe hope for some showers.

I know someone said on here that it might not rain tomorrow... But if it does, doesn't that mean that the whole tyre situation is blown out of the window? D'reckon that played a part in Mclaren going for softs?

It's what i want to believe? Good one, just get over yourself already.

McLaren's top speeds are relatively lower because the rear wing duct has less effect on lower downforce setups, hence why Sauber are struggling too.
