No need to shout Sunny!

Your post both confuses and enrages me!

Was directed at Sunny, whose post has been deleted by now, so not at you :)

I was kidding. I took it from Futurama. I just wondered why you were saying anything to Sunny when I couldn't find any post from him. It confused me and the confusion enraged me.

I still feel robbed on the 1989 crown, but just like McLaren the FIA didn't like Ayrton either.

Why? Senna more than cancelled that one out by ramming Prost off the next year.

The fact he won the race and the title should of gone to the last GP of the season.Got DSQ for rejoining in the wrong place. What a joke what was he ment to do go the wrong way up the track to rejoin?.I can't find it but there was a clip on you tube of the pre drivers meeting the next year.Basicly the rules were exactly what Ayrton done the year before.Hense he then stormed out of the drivers meeting. .

Yeah they just had some major miscommunication and made a procedural error.

Imola 1994 was just one of those tragic and just plain weird weekends.

His drive at Monaco in 1984 was something that F1 doesn't see anymore. The Toleman was a crap car and shouldn't have even finished in 2nd but Senna's supreme skills in the wet made it possible. He managed to pass Niki Lauda in a McLaren that won 12 races that year.

And then he was taking 3 secs a lap of Prost who was clearly struggling but the French favourtism of Ickx made the red come out and ultimately cost Prost the title.

Personal opinion;

Senna was far greater than anyone could ever say nor show. I have watched very little of his races but the ones i have watched did make me say wow. He had flair and he was talented. He has a certain philosophy about him like GV. He had a way with words that got you hooked and no one on this planet will be able to re-write his work. Schumacher is a genius in F1 but thwey are both amazing in there own ways and in there own eras. I feel Hamilton is a real ltanet by his show today and in preivous races as some of you have said Senna shaved time off. I think by Senna's margin we can tell the real champions from others. Senna was aamzing and took people by so much surprise at times. The way he conducted himself and the way he raced. He did and died what he loved. That was racing, it's a shame he wasn't around today. Because maybe, just maybe he could tell you his secret.

A Legend, a Man of his own time, a One off.

Was Senna good? That's an understatement.

Senna was "speed!" personafide. He was the most commited of all the drivers and is the blueprint for how drivers are now expected to concentrate on their job i.e. Schumacher.
He was a touch above the other drivers with regards to his presence, ability and devotion to the sport. Granted other people could set up a car better or read a race better but Senna was and will always be the fastest ever F1 driver.

Can still remember watching Donnington '93 spellbounded. For those of you who missed seeing him race I'm sorry for you.

Life of Senna is a great book, the most complete book on the legend I have ever read and i've read a few.

In my opinion he died because his steering column snapped. Next time you're on a sweeping bend (dual carraigeway with no traffic) let go of your steering wheel briefly and feel what the car does........verves straight to the outside of the corner.

I reckon we'll never know the truth. Only Senna knows what happened and he's not here to tell us sadly.

He didn't just win it, he flogged the whole field. Never again will we see a driving performance like that.
