Mmmmmm team mates. mmmm. Depends how you interpret that word. And suprise, suprise, there's tension. Did you know Alonso had called a summit meeting at Ferrari after the Australian GP because the team were unwilling to ask Massa to move aside for him?

Up to his old tricks I see, what a d**che bag .

Massa is struggling now because of the tyre compounds.At Bahrain and Monacco when the compound was racier Massa was on it. When the compound is more conservative he cant get the heat in.

All the more reason for multiple manufactures, multiple compounds decided on by the teams don't you think, wink wink??

Massa is struggling now because of the tyre compounds.At Bahrain and Monacco when the compound was racier Massa was on it. When the compound is more conservative he cant get the heat in.

I think his biggest issue is that Alonso is simply faster than him. Alonso was faster than him almost all weekend in Bahrain, had Alonso not botched his Qualifying lap Massa would have been behind Alonso and it didn't matter anyway since Alonso took care of Massa at the start.

And Monaco again, Alonso was quicker all weekend and would have been our best hope of taking the fight to Webber had he not destroyed his car in FP3.

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali says the Italian squad is set to retain Felipe Massa when his current contract ends.

With speculation mounting about who will partner Fernando Alonso from next year, Domenicali told the BBC on Thursday that Ferrari is almost certain to keep Massa for another year.

"Yes, I think so," he said of Massa staying on.

When asked if he was sure, he said: "Yes."

Massa has been with the team since the 2001 season and his contract ends at the end of this year.

Australian Mark Webber and Pole Robert Kubica have been linked with the seat.

Domenicali also insisted the team has been very happy with the performances of Alonso, despite some costly errors.

"I don't want to speak about mistakes," he added. "We are a group and the team do the best with the car and the drivers do the best with the performance.

"I'm very pleased with him. He came into team in a fantastic way and I think that he gave input to the team and I say let's wait until the end of the season. He will be very strong - I have no doubt about that."

No I take your word for it with everything you say RC; once it doesn't involve Alonso.

Also that article is free, unlike the article you are talking about that involves Alonso behaving maliciously towards Ferrari/Massa after Oz.

It was a good read but if Ferrari are holding onto Massa, then its old` news already. I like the way Hughes argues cases though. He has a lot of Knowledge.

I find it hard to believe Felipe is getting the sort of "Summit" treatment from Alonso and from the team itself, as some of you guys are claiming (ahem Racechick et al)... he obviously want to stay at Ferrari, which he wouldnt if he was getting such shady/conspiracy treatment.

As for Ferrari looking into other drivers... I'm certain they are, but its a matter of making things work out, and it looks like they are not keen on nailing Massa after what he has done for the team; and they are confident he can bounce back. Sure Massa is prob not happy getting outperformed by Alonso FAIRLY. But he is a hard worker and i can see him turning around... whether he will beat Alonso even after bouncing back on form, i doubt it.

Interesting... perhaps Ferrari doesnt want to worry Massa and/or destabilize the team. But yes, his contract is up so anything can happen; especially and unfortunately if he continues to struggle.
