I just got the quickest promotion in history. I applied for a part time job as a housekeeper (basically a cleaner) in a local hotel, just to tide me over until I go back to Uni in September, got a phone call this morning to tell me I've got it and then another phone call half an hour ago telling me that I'm now their receptionist. .

 Congrats! I hope the 'promotion' also means a payrise :D

Good work. Let the money roll, and the customers, and the Phil Collins elevator music.

Me on the other hand...

London prices are stupid. I just spent £14 on mint tea today

Went in for a business meeting, bloke was an hour late so had 2 teas each with my business partner. £3.50 each  Stupidly small cups too. Sometimes I wish I was back in London. Then I actually visit London and remember why I moved away

Today we are barbequeing (smoking) a brisket, sausage, chicken and ribs. Side dish's consist of fried and baked shrimp/pepper jack cheese stuffed jalapeno peppers wrapped in bacon and a potato/onion baked dish :cloud9: .

This past tuesday while in Marlin to meet with the sheriffs dept I took a trip up to Waco to the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame and Museum, it was awesome.

What no pictures of Chuck Noris?

You do realize that Chuck Norris was not a real Texas Ranger right?? :hehe:

I doubt you brits realize that Texas Ranger Francis Augustus Hamer wired your king in '39 when Germany declared war on you and offered to send Texas Rangers to your plot to help defend your island, your king declined Hamers offer.
