Jacques Villeneuve is higher than Lewis!! Oh you are joking!! Well that says it all for this ranking. Sorrry :bs:

Your getting rather pathetic with your blind Hammy luv RC  .

Also Alonso higher :yikes: He couldnt beat leawis as a rookie. Just lost all faith in this system

Yet Alonso did not crumble under the pressure of competing against a multiple WDC as Lewis did  . Go ahead and try to twist and turn the FACTS to suit your agenda as it is so old now most don't even pay attention anymore.

1. Lewis didn't beat him. McLaren did. When Lewis could cut him off on qualifying and Alonso gets the heat for it...that showed exactly what McLaren had in mind.
2. Lewis absolutely crumbled in the last two races of 2007 and he crumbled enough in 2008 to barely win a championship that should have been in the bag.

You have the facts wrong.

How many times are we going to go over the Lewis Vs Alonso bullpoo? bottom line; Lewis matched Alonso on points in '07 and won the championship in '08; the intracies of the seasons are irrelevant really; it was six of one; half dozen of the other in 2007 and in 2008 Lewis won; one point or 100 points, the margin doesn't matter,

 cant argue with that :)

Well gee, that pretty much settles it doesn't it? Two internet mods, both British of course, have decided that the matter is pretty much cut and dried so it must be.

The truth of the matter, of course, is that Alonso has never beached a car in pit lane. Has never rear ended another car in pit lane. Has never run over a car on the straight away. Never single handedly cost his team a championship. Never hit the pit lane speed button in the middle of a race. And he has never cried "They made me Lie" to the press. Bottom line....Fernando is the better driver and in this thread a stat wunderkind has shown that, in two different analysis. :D

Alonso has won twice as many championships and is being paid 2 million euros a year more than Hamilton. Those margins do matter.

Alonso's done plenty, some of those on your list and more.
Weathers just too good here to argue. So not gonna argue :D

Actually Bill; I'm not a Lewis Hamilton fan; I am a Jenson Button fan and have been for his whole F1 career; long before I even heard the name Lewis Hamilton.

While we are on the subject of the blame game; Mr squeaky clean Alonso tried to blackmail his team; Ron Dennis called him out and reported the incident to the FIA himself.

As for the stats; Alonso has been in F1 six years longer than Hamilton so it's not a valid comparison. No one is disputing Alonso is a great driver but is he really better than Hamilton? I don't think so; he is an equal driver. No stats system will really tell the whole story of F1; who is the best driver is going to be highly subjective at best.

This argument has been going on for what seems like forever, does it really need to pop up in every other thread?

It will persist as long as Hammy is considered to be the resurrection of F1 and F1 would not be what it is without him. Place the blame on where it originated from  .
