I seen just the end of the race. Pretty insane racing. It was like Nascar on a proper track.
Moto GP is a seriously good series. They go to some brilliant tracks, have spectacluar riders. There's not a boring moment in the series. It's really what F1 needs to aim for. It's less stuck up and more enjoyable. Riders can jump into lakes at the end of races, whilst f1 drivers get yelled at just for doing doughnouts or burnouts. Lewis mentioned something along those lines last year, and you have to agree. It's just more fun.
But anyway, aside from that it was a great race from Lorenzo. Very measured, smart and calculated. He did a great job of managing his tyre's and using that to his advantage at the end. But again, where as Pedrosa rockets off the line, Lorenzo is the opposite. He's constantly getting swamped at the first corner. He qualified 2nd and was 6th by the end of lap one. He could just make life so much easier for himself. I've just noticed this happening constantly race after race recently.
Only 2 races in, but Stoner needs some real points on the board.
This is interesting, VB hasn't posted something yet, His old loveLorenzo won. Under too much joy aye?
He's really strong at the end.
Pity for Pedrosa. And Kalio 10 places jump from last to 7, incredible. People were having tyre issues though.
On a side note, today I was wondering what if races were longer in duration, would that make for exciting races, esp. in F1.
The things with limited number of tyre allocations, tyre wear with long races and more room for engine configuration (power, reliability, etc) from diff. teams etc over long distance? And much more.
Was just wondering, sry to post it over here, watching the race and seeing rossi, pedrosa, spies have issue with tyre i just thought of it.
Did you see the MOTO 2 race? What a series that is turning out to be. Although I still have my reservations about it being a spec series.
