A race is a contest between competitors to see who is the fastest. The purpose of such an event would be to win. The driver who wins the race is the best on that day. The driver who has won more races than anyone else....is the best that has yet been.

All the rest of this crap is just emotion and national pride. We've got people claiming one driver was better than Schumacher because he drove british cars...LOL, logic that is par for the course on this board. Others rail against Schumacher for one incident against Hill, while forgetting the many incidents of their own hero.

I have never loved Schumacher, for the exact same reasons I don't love Hamilton. I just don't like their disregard for other drivers. I do find it all kinds of funny watching Hamilton fanatics hate on Schumacher for doing exactly what their boy does. The difference being, Schumacher won 7 championships due entirely to his driving, while Hamilton has lost one due entirely to his driving mistakes and won one due to other teams making mistakes.

Maybe one day someone will surpass Schumachers achievements, but until that happens...the purpose of racing is to win and he who has done that the most.... is the best there has ever been.

Yup, it is a pretty obvious statement...but then when speaking to the Hamster Brigade, one must dumb the words down quite a bit or the meaning gets missed.

Be careful there bud, it sure looks like you just agreed that Schumacher is the best driver yet to strap into an F1 car. I know you were just attempting to be funny, but remember the Hamster Brigade isn't all that bright...so they might take offense. Next thing you know, they will change the secret handshake and not tell you, or change the password to your secret forum chatroom. You don't want the rabbit mad at you too now do ya? You don't want to lose your "official team member" sticker.

Schumacher knows what it takes to win, more than anyone. No instant results ie. podiums is no surpise. A win and a few podiums toward the end of the season would be seen as a success I would think.

Any driver who has won a race knows what it takes to win.

This is F1, the teams gotta know how to win also.
