If Bernie wants to moan about anything then somebody should stick a Ferrari hat in the wash with his millions of plain white shirts so that they all come out pink.

i heard that many drivers where over the moon with the changes, itmust get dull doing the same track year in, year out, so why not make changes? it might improve overtaking chances and otherwise make for a more intresting race for those of us who arnt lucky enough to have the chance to drive silverstone on a regular basis.

Silverstone has had many track changes since the first race:

1976- Woodcote chicane (the fast one) was put in
1987- New Woodcote chicane, slower and right-left
1991- Massive rebuild: Copse made faster, Becketts complex introduced, Stowe tightened, new corner at Vale, Complex of Bridge, Priory, Brookands and Luffield
1994- Copse, Stowe, Priory, Brookands slowed, Abbey chicane built
1996- Stowe made faster, Hangar Straight has kink before Stowe
1997- 2nd massive rebuild: Copse made flat in top gear, Stowe made faster, Priory, Brookands, Luffield changed
2010- 3rd massive rebuild: New Arena complex, Club changed to double apex

Silverstone is one of the few circuits to have regular changes, unlike Monza and Monaco which are virually the same since the start of F1

I'm looking forward to the GP as always and will be watching closer than usual to see if the track has improved from a racing standpoint.

Well Monaco cannot be changed for many obvious reasons and in Italy, to change the layout of Monza, it would take an act of congress because tree's cannot be moved without one. Stranger things have happened but atleast we still have 2 original layouts  .

Madness!

And i believe that Monaco has had some changes in the early 70s, mainly because of changes to buildings that made it necessary to change the layout (The tunnel being extended being the main one. Although unfortunately i cannot find a layout of the track before the changes.
