What kind of business do you actually want to start VB?

Electrical distributor to the general public and contractor. Based on the web, i have major knowledge so it's okay and have predictions on the next products so i can pre apprehend what will happen.

Beverly Hills, that's where I want to be!

I'm starting a business plan soon. Because of the trade i am in i can easily do a business plan with forecast and the percentage available on certain products. The general public and contractors are my main customers. I will start it soon so that everything is in place.

Anything else any one?

VB i'm looking to by a new TV looking for a LED one, can you perhaps give me some advice on the best products avalible?

I highly doubt, sorry, that the knowledge you have gained via the web will override the knowledge of having actual job experience in said field.

That I think would be a very tough market for a small independant company but definitely not impossible. I think that being able to bid a job that will undercut the cost of your competitions bid may be the easiest part but being able to secure a low cost on materials and actually making a profit will be your greatest challenge.

You will definitely need a very detailed business plan and all it entails as the loan officer will use it as one of the main deciding factors concerning your loan. With that being said and even if you rely on your parents credit score you still may not be approved.

Best of luck mate,
tex

Much will depend on the nature of your business. If you have a simple concept, you may be able to express it in very few words. On the other hand, if you're proposing a new kind of business or even a new industry, it may require quite a bit of explanation to get the message across.

No links, thanks. -SF

What's worse than finding out that is a poster of a real film is that someone made the decision to watch it without thinking they'd get the urge to gouge out their own eyes, only to realise later.

Hia,
have run a couple of business' for others, ran (and currently running) business' for myself and have bought into other people's...

Best advice I can offer..
Unless the market is time critical... and I suspect with the current climate it isn't...
Sit back and watch your competition fall... We're expectin another stall in construction while the new government finds it's feet.. this will put strain onto commercial suppliers who have MUCH higher overheads than you....
Anticipate you market place being properly boyant about April 2011..
This gives you almost a year to set you organisation up carefully and efficiently...
I'd strongly reccomend you join a group called 4Networking.biz.. I wouldn't think you'll get too much in the way of clients.. But, you'll get sack loads of advice from people who've tried every element of business development that you can (and occasionally didn't) think of... You can travell around the country doing so if there's a benefit.. and.. you'll meet people who can fulfill the extra roles you need.. ie advertising.. web development.. e-commerce.. marketing etc..
The M.D. is a bloke called Brad Burton.. he makes himself very available and LOVES... to tell the world of how he succeeded eventually.. even wrote a book on it called Get off your arse!.. (Only Brad!!) in fact.. (for me being Scouse)..apart from being a Mancunian.. he's a top bloke..lol

Good luck mate... hope the stress and lack off sleep turns into a holiday home in Barbados and a Ferrarri at each of your homes...
