Data plans are too expensiv ehere. I don't want to have a $70/mo plan, forget it.

Yeah What a name, iPad, like there's a thinner version for lightdays.

They're selling a specially priced one for $14.99 a month with 250MB for the iPad. Unlimited will be $29.99.

I have to pay I don't know, about $45/mo for plain cellphone service for 2 phones, and long distance is billed per call at a pretty high rate unless I buy a long distance package at about $10/mo, and a data plan is on top of that, about $25/month.
Without a data plan I can get a $15/mo package that allows 1000 messages(text, email, voicemail) or get billed per message. I can go on the internet wihtout a data plan by paying per amount of data downloaded at a high rate or buy chunks of data, the smalles chunk costing $3/mo. but the phone is a Razr so internet is a bit useless, The other phone is an LG Neon which might be better but still doesn't have a great browser. Neither have wifi.
I never need internet on the phone anyway and I never text. I don't see the appeal of texting or any need for me to text.

Sums it up for me as well.
However, if I got an iPad, that might change a bit. I could imagine taking the iPad for the many shorter trips I do (a day or two) instead of lugging my MacBook Pro.

depends on how good a driver you are, myself personaly i can multitask pettey well.

i usualy cruise at about 70mph while watching tv on my iphone and checking my e-mails.

Case in point. Why can't one wait until they are out of their vehicle or stop to check or watch such things?

I have no doubt that your most likely a better than average driver but a distraction is a distraction no matter how much one sugar coats it. I'm looking at it from a LEO perspective and think most LEO's where ever they may be from would agree. I just don't think it is a safe idea but I do think its pretty cool. :)

Until you end up crashing into the back of a truck... all it takes is one second of distraction to crash, especially at 70mph... regardless of how good a driver you are.
