It'll be a new track built in Arizona, designed by Hermann Tilke... FACT!!!

Isn't that the prerequisite for tracks joining the F1 calendar?

...built by illegal immigrants :P The new Arizona state law was signed yesterday that makes immigration officers out of regular cops

Maybe they will be a little nicer than the "real" immigration officers that I had the joy of enduring when I arrived in the US!!! :crying:

Not to the hispanics at which this legislation is clearly aimed. Racial profiling galore. :banghead:

If profiling puts illegal aliens on the proper side of the fence....I'll campaign for better profiling. Twice in the last few years I've been slammed into by vehicles piloted by illegals with no insurance and no drivers license. Both times the cop wrote them a ticket and let them walk...while telling me without question that not only would the ticket never be paid but the guy would never show up in court either, and my insurance would be paying the bill despite zero fault attached to me. Why do they let them walk? Because they are not allowed to play immigration officer...they are only police officers afterall. So, the illegal goes on about his business, buys another $300 piece of uninsured s*** and gets right back on the road, while my insurance repairs a $50k vehicle for the second time...because I was sitting at a stop light that the illegal chose to not see. The latest criminal sat on his busted hood with his arms crossed and a smile on his face waiting for the police (after he tried to walk away and I prevented it). Not only was he uninsured, but his driving privileges had been permanently revoked because...wait for it....too many accidents without insurance and never appearing for the court dates. I smiled back at him when the cop told me this because I was sure this guy was going to jail.....nope. He waived at me as he walked off. But if I forget to pay a speeding ticket they will absolutely jail me for it...because I'm an American and the police have jurisdiction over me. The whole system is completely whacked.

I would much rather the police here be given the same authority as Arizona than be the victim of yet another criminal getting away with it because of jurisdiction arguments. Either that, or allow citizens who are victims of these criminals to strike back without repercussion. If I were to pull that criminal out of his broken piece of crap and give him the head kicking he deserves...jurisdiction would not hinder the police from locking me up...and the criminal would just end up in our health care system getting the free healthcare that he apparently also deserves. We take a half dozen trips to mexico per year scuba diving and I can tell you that they do not play with illegal immigration in the country...if I decided to stay without permission, they are far from accommodating.

Nope, No sympathy from me. Way to go Arizona! The police should have jurisdiction to handle any criminal that they come across...whether the crime is dealing drugs, killing people or being in this country illegally. There is no possible argument for not allowing police to deal with illegal activity.

Your american, surely if your hit by an uninsured driver you can simply sue them.

After all American's coined the "omfg just sue the bar steward" idea

Although I agree to a certain extent; it's the same issue in the UK; although not illegal given the EU common market, but unlicensed/uninsured drivers. In your case it's simply bad law keeping; regardless of race; those people should have been arrested; especially of driving without a licence and/or insurance; that is not an immigration issue.

I'm confused about your last statement which I emboldened; are you saying that because they are not American citizen's they are not bound by the laws of the US? I'm not an American citizen and have no plans to become an American citizen but I am still bound by the laws of the United States.

If you look at the imigration into the UK, you will find that they for the most part are willing to do the the jobs that the benifit guzzling scum at the benifit office are just not willing to do.

This thread isn't so much about working; it's about non-insured drivers etc... but yes I do agree; the UK has a load of bone idle spongers that don't want to work; but at the same time it's a failing of the British government to allow that to happen; cut their benefits if they don't provide satisfactory evidence of their search for work; and if they get a job offer and turn it down; discontinue their benefits; force them to take jobs; the UK system makes it easy for people to sit on benefits.

I think this is common sense by the Arizona state. Police officers are there to serve and protect, well they should be allowed to get illigal immigrants back where they belong, in doing so are serving and protecting people in Bills situations.
