My mother, aunt, and I went on vacation in that area last summer Are you from there?

I have alot of friends and a few relatives in Edinburgh, but I actually live on the West side of the Central belt of Scotland.

Yes, I love it! To be honest, it's one of my favorite cities. Actually, scratch that - Scotland is one of my favorite places. Not just Edinburgh. The whole thing. I also saw Glasgow but I did not see enough of it. I would love to go to college in Scotland and I'm seriously considering applying to some of the universities there!

I wouldn't say it is that great tbh. But I suppose I am used to it

When the time comes (running out of time actually), I'd like to apply to (Trinity College in Dublin and) the University of Edinburgh (and some American schools). I'd also like to visit St. Andrews and the University of Glasgow because I've heard that they are prestigious. Do you know anything about any of those colleges? I have seen Trinity and Edinburgh but I did not go on a full college tour.
And what is not great? Scotland as a whole or Edinburgh?

The Times Good University Guide is always a good gauge of Universities IMO: http://extras.timesonline.co.uk/tol_gug ... yguide.php . You can click through and look at each Uni's profiles to find what departments they excel in too.

Nah, Scotland is fine. The truth is that you just don't get a hard man from Edinburgh

This is fantastic. Thank you so much. One thing I am wondering about is how many students at Glasgow are from other countries. I think I would feel weird if I were the only American student.
