Hmmmm from watching the replays and replays... i still think Fernando got a clean start.
WTF was that!!?? :bs::bs::bs:
:banghead:

And how come Lewis/Mclaren was not penalised for that unsafe pit release AND entry. I thought that was illegal (the release). A couple extra enemies for Lewis in this race as well (though im sure hes not init for the friends) Good race, terrible sportsmanship for 2 races in a row

Great job by Jenson! in Q and in the race...... he is really doing the "cool" job and not letting get himself being counted out.
Oh..... and the Renaults :) that was great

watch the replay from Alonsos on board camera, there you can see that he did jump the start. i have no idea why lewis got away with that. i guess they are still reviewing it????

Button does it again. He's taken two victories and beaten Lewis 3-1 in quali. I'd say without a doubt he's been driver of the opening flyaway races.

But him coming out ahead of Lewis has largely been by luck. In China, for example, he didn't out-perform Hamilton on the track, but simply lucked out by not taking the extra two pit stops. He had no way of knowing for certain whether staying out on the tires he started with would certainly have been the way to go, because the weather could have went either way, so it was simply a matter of luck on his part. Hamilton still out-performed him on the track, as usual. Button may still have eleven points on Hamilton, but Hamilton is still McLaren's best driver.

Jenson out qualified lewis you know, and Lewis couldn't catch him in the closing stages.

No it isn't, but I prefer to watch ineluke struggle with logic, theres no point at shouting back at him.

I watched the start in slow motion, both from in front of the grid and from Alonzo's camera. The lights from the front and the rear went off at different times. From the front, he didn't move until after the lights went out. From the rear, he moved before the lights went out.

Hamilton and the team should get penalized for the early release from the pit. The action at the pit entrance was dodgy also.

And like I said previously, "Into each race a little rain must fall". Fantastic race!

If you watch a replay from on board you will see that he starts moving before the lights go out by a good half second.

The pit release was not unsafe the pit lane was clear when Hamilton was released, the time difference between Hamilton's release and Vettel's was less than a second. Lewis's pit lane entry was quite ragged but Alonso did much the same thing without penalty so yes the stewards were lenient but at least they were consistent .

:hehe: ah well...
but anyway... its true. Things are actually going pretty well for Mclaren.
havent really had the 'best' of luck... but still have gotten away with quite a lot of pts. So is it maybe some merit?
if it werent for Lewis, i'd be happy about Mclaren

I havent seen an onboard camera... all i got were a few slow-mo replays from the front and from Whiting's lights... that was lame.

Pit lane was not clear. Vettel was coming when he was released, but its not like drivers are stupid... I think its a crap rule, but if its made then at least do something about it.

Yeah, Lewis' entry was far more compromised than Fernando... Alonso was always on the track and had the good 'racing line', while Lewis did some grass stuff and it was actually reckless.

Also, it was almost funny watching Fernando have a Lewis moment there at pit entry :hehe:
Quite an eventful race.... it was fun.

I'm sure Schumacher is really bummed.

What a fantastic race! The best move for me was lewis taking both Vettel and Suthil on one move...magic :cloud9:
Jens- brill decision making again!!

Lewis and jens are turning into quite a formidable team, they compliment each others skills , respect eachothers abilities and get on well. Other teams, be afraid :hehe::hehe:

Nice to see the stewards acting with common sense now that they have a racing driver to advice them. We now more likely to get races decided by racing not politics or ignorance.

Pitlanes- On entry i believe its ok to overtake until you're actually in the lane (though turfing your team mate off track into a puddle in an effort to nick his pitstop is not nice....kindov expected behaviour though)

Lewis and Vettel. It was not an unsafe release, they were released within a second of each other. Lewis then got wheelspin-this is not something he chose to get-it happened. However Vettel did choose to push Lewis towards the pitcrews.A reprimand to stop similar incidents was the right decision, anything further would have been over the top.

Highlights on now, Im watching it again. :cloud9:

 It's like I said all through the off-season: McLaren have the most complete driver pairing on the grid.

The Chauffeur does it again. Smarter, Smoother, Calmer, Winner.

Massa said an error on his part had led to the overtaking manoeuvre by Alonso.

"As for the passing move Fernando made, I ended up on a puddle of water coming out of the hairpin and slightly lost control of the car: he managed to get inside me, passing me going into the pit lane," he said. "I lost some places because of it, as I had to wait for his stop to be finished."
